This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
Installation: ------------- 1) Ensure you have game patched to v 1.9, if not install latest patch 1.9 2) Go to Dokuments in windows start menu and find folder "Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars" and open it. Inside you should see folder called mods, if not create new folder called mods. 3) Open folder mods and copy folder TiberiumEssence from this package in to it Run mod: 1) Insert CnC3:Tiberian Wars DVD to your dvd drive and Wait until game launcher window emerges. 2) Clic on Game Browser button, new window whith Replays should open. 3) Switch to mods, select TiberiumEssence and then click Launch Game. If game launcher do not emerges after is DVD insert, you have probably disabled autorun in your windows default settings. You must launch Game Launcher manually from DVD. Open Tiberium Wars DVD and run autorun.exe in main root. When game launcher opens click on Game Browser button and follow instructions above.

I like cosmetic changes alot, i upped my vote from 8 to 9 :).
However Carnius, i urge you make AI more smarter, i didnt had any problems beating it. If someone can help you with editing heuristics for building Defences and structures, it would be great. Because, AI is hardly protecting harvesters at all. When you kill all the harvs, the AI simply dont know what to do, instead protecting it, it builds more refineries(which drain its funds to total defeat).

The game crashed when i was playing as the scrin and now it wont let me play the mod or select game browser without comming up with a error message. Unmodded CNC3 Loads fine but it wont let me select any mods. Can you please add an .exe for the mod? because it wont let me play the mod anymore now.
That is very odd. Try to reinstall whole CnC3.

I was afraid this happen. Its very rare bug, but what is really bad is that i have no clue what cause this problem. Im sorry for inconvenience.
I just had a weird bug, I don't know if this is the mod or the C&C3 itself, but in GDI Mission 1 a couple of my own guys, especially rocket units, suddenly became computer controlled and started attacking everything. I could still select these units and they were not considered hostile (no red attack cursor), but I couldn't order them to do anything and they attacked everything in sight. Nod units, my own units, they even blew an orca out of the sky and attacked my jet pack guys.
That is really weird, but i did not edit campaign maps or scripts, my mod should be not in contradictory with campaign so this must be vanilla TW bug.
Well, I was using two scrin defilers and twice a single viceroid could be controlled by me. They never went against me and obeyed me completely until I won the match.
I don't know if it helps, though.
That is actually pretty cool... maybe Yuri and his mind control devices were somewhere off screen when you were playing.

That is crate unit :D I´v put old units in to crates in skirmish and multiplayer game. That is not bug that is mod feature :)

The economy is really screwed. A single load of Tiberium should be netting you more credits. There are missions where you can't win in hard mode because you simply can't harvest enough Tiberium to build an attack force. You need every drop just to keep your defenses up, and even that isn't possible. As time goes by you notice that little by little your defenses get widdled away until you eventually lose.
In medium, the waves are less frequent and less big, so you have just enough defenses they don't get widdled away, so you can eventually win; but those missions go like: stare at screen, stare at screen stare at screen, hmm, some attacking units got destroyed, repair some units at factory, stare at screen, tiberium regrown enough yet?, no, stare at screen, stare at screen, oh, finally, some tiberium, harvest, build some more units for attack force, soon enough tiberium gone, stare at screen, stare at screen.
It's seriously annoying. And I'm pretty sure in later levels not even medium difficulty will have enough Tiberium to harvest.
So lower difficulty settings solved the problem, so its not so screwed after all :)
For now...
Besides, it should be possible to defeat the game even in Hard Mode.
Also, staring at the screen for minutes for Tiberium to regrow is not the way the game should be played.
i downloaded and played 1.4 , so overall this mod TE is still the coolest for c&c3 ,thanks carnius.

I extracted and copied the file into the Mods/TiberiumEssence folder, but the 1.4 version does not appear in the game browser, and the game crashes on startup when I try to launch any other version of the mod. Does anyone know why?
I thought you just drag the folder with the .skudef and .big files into the mods folder. (Obviously after extracting the zipped file.) That's what I do. Then you can delete previous versions if you really want to.

It doesn't go in the Program files, but in your Documents in the data part of its files. so My Docs, there should be a Command & Conquor 3: Tiberium Wars folder, then in THAT one you make the mods folder and put the extracted files in.

I can try it, but i cant guarantee succes, im limited with game engine, maybe its impossible.
wtf iv done every thing 5 times and it still does not come up on mods in game browser i even re-installed the game 3 times and i have the 1.9 patch for the game what do i do

Hmm, well i can't play this at all. When i load the mod up, I get to the main screen and i cannot see where it'd say Campaign, Multiplayer etc etc, They're just blank tabs, If i go on the one which would be Multiplayer - Skirmish. I cannot see what team i am, what colour, or anything else :s So god knows
Basically, Im missing all text from game lol
My problem is that when I extract the folder, the .big file is there, but the .skudef file is not. Does anyone know why?

KUDOS to you and your team..THIS IS THE WAY I ENVISIONED CnC3TW would be like. I found the link to this mod on cnc-247.com and have been playing it ever since. So far I find no problems with the mod..works as designed albeit the engine shortcomings but you cannot help that.
IF there is going to be a 1.5 or even 1.6 I cannot wait until release!!!.
