Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

Have you ever heard of Titan spam?
TS suffered from tank rushes and imbalance, too. Though not as much as in RA1, RA2 or C&C3.

RA3, Generals and TD were some of the better balanced C&C games. (And C&C4, but then again, both sides are the same in there)

To be honest I always found Titan rushes pretty easy to counter, especially if you're nod (tick tanks plus rocket soldiers). But yeah, TS had it's issues too.

u know, all these wars and all those lives were lost because of GDI being afraid that it will lose its power over the earth as humanity will evolve and all will be equals, unlike nod which fights for the human kind :D u were wrong we have always been right :D just look how each campaign ends in every C&C game to see the difference, see who's terrorist or not :D btw, will u guys include TS's campaign and cinematics in with a second release? i d love the glorious nod campaign in super 3D!

nice try but we've seen what Kane will do to the planet if he succeeds, it will be the end of mankind as you KNOW it! The reason GDI always wins is because we're protecting everything that's worth fighting for.

Kane wants to save the planet and leave it (C&C4). However, his methods are quite...unorthodox.

Kane's character in C&C 4 doesn't add up with his character in the rest of the series. While C&C 4 provided a plot twist it failed to account for his eccentricities in Tiberian Dawn and Tiberian Sun (ie: experimentation of Tiberium on humans)

the reason why gdi wins is because they have a skilled commander in all games, unlike nod, which had a skilled enough commander only in TW (i dunno why slavic lost though, GDI was cheating) anyway, what GDI protects is the fat ***** of the rich politicians, and leaves all nod followers and other people just rotten in the YZs, while they still perform military operations in the YZs killing half of them. what GDI is can be described as autocratic, capitalistic, cruel, racist, ungrateful, afraid and evil, just exiling those who they dont want in the YZs, hunting down anyone who is not GDI. on the other hand, nod works towards humanity's evolution, a future without militaries fighting each other, lack of energy and economic crisis. only equality and peace. GDI is the real terrorist (all its campaigns end with ion cannon strikes, liquid tiberium explosions and genoctones)

GDI isn't oppressive. They're trying to clean up the whole planet and they often try to help Yellow Zones when they can (They're way too spread out to be able to provide relief effort to everyone on the globe). Kane just instilled the two factions to see things in a very biased way so they can fight, tech up and capture that Scrin tower and fight off the Scrin, and ultimately, allow us to survive and allow Kane to leave Earth. The reasons for conflict are entirely petty and superficial. Neither sides are necessarily right or wrong, they just see things differently and sometimes incorrectly. Every human being is immoral and morality is ambiguous, as it changes from person to person.

That's what I liked about the Tiberian saga's story. What was going on felt like it could happen anytime in real-life, and good parts of it do happen all the time.

Oh yes GDI doesnt have the resources, they have the Orbital Space Station Philadelphia, Sonic Technology to clear Tiberium Fields, they have Dropships that can deploy vehicles to anywhere in the globe in a heartbeat. They are the GDI every major world military (basically NATO) as one Global Army. Nod is the remainder + the followers its gained over the previous wars. GDI very much has the resource's to help more then they did in C&C3.

They have to defend themselves against Nod. Kane manipulated the factions into this situation. Keep in mind we don't see everything GDI does, so we don't see them offering relief effort or clearing up red and yellow zones that much. (The campaign is more centered around the war itself) We see in TS and FS that GDI are helping MANY cities in yellow zones and what would become red zones by TW. They also cleaned up part of Europe only to have Nod and the Scrin destroy all their efforts. They want to offer Yellow Zones Blue Zone treatment, but that takes time. Nod thinks they could simply let Blue Zones be Yellow Zones and offer rations. If there is no small reason for conflict, Kane cannot create an arms race and several wars nor attract the Scrin to Earth and keep mankind alive while also saving them and escaping Earth via the Scrin Threshold Tower. If they would ONLY help the downtrodden, Nod would destroy them entirely, and Kane doesn't want that. He needs GDI to remain resourceful for his plan to succeed. Kane sees that sacrificing part of the human race is necessary for the survival of mankind and for his ultimate goal.

Okay, well, if Assassin's getting in on this discussion, I suppose I'll offer my two bits, as well. :P

What you just listed off, Assassin, is GDI's hardware, not necessarily its resources. Feeding, clothing, and sheltering a world-spanning military force is an expensive proposition, especially when the amount of arable land is continually decreasing. Add onto that the need to provide the same necessities (as well as security) to millions of civilians, and... well, it's a logistics nightmare no matter how you look at it. The fact that GDI is willing and able to aid civilians at all while still actively carrying out large-scale combat operations is remarkable.

Kane see's the future, those who join the Brotherhood of Nod see a better tommorow for humanity with Tiberium at our side. Those who cling to the GDI are those who are fearful of the future and want to cling to the way things are now.

The ends justify the means in Nod's view which may be harsh but they must take greater measures against such a great Oppressor as GDI.

Nod looks after the downtrodden and gives them a voice, fights for them, fights for there future. Join the Brotherhood! Fight for Peace through Power!

Kane wishes to let us exploit Tiberium's power, but not let it run rampant across our world, unchecked. With Kane's help, GDI and Nod eventually become allies. Where Nod helps the downtrodden, GDI does, too. The war only strains their resources. But we all know what the war's all about. Strengthening us, helping us advance technologically, and bringing a perfect political situation for the Tiberium Control Network to be created. Humanity is saved, all can live a comfortable life and Tiberium is no longer an ecological nightmare, but rather a resource used to power up everything.

The only loyalty that is necessary is to mankind and life.

the truth is that we were all kane's pawns from RA1, having the soviets fight the allies so that they would form the GDI to protect themselves against a future soviet or terrorist attack, and from what remained of the USSR he reinforced nod. he has being using probably tesla weaponry, to show the scin there was life on earth and that they could send tiberium there. he took control of tiberium and started off as a terrorist organisation to make GDI believe they were nothing powerful. the first war was for making GDI more powerful, the 2nd was for that and for making nod more powerful. firestorm crisis was to make GDI and nod ally and have them being more friendly to some future dire situation (CABAL was actually controlled by kane). the 3rd war for control over the thresold and the 4th was a byproduct of the FSC, when kane left and let the world with forever lasting peace and wealth. THE END, but is it? and in the end it didnt matter who was nod and who was gdi, in the end they all won, but nod was right from the beginning. btw brother AssassinCS, kane will be proud for us

Are you sure Kane wanted GDI and NOD to ally in the firestorm crisis because in the end you hear him say" My vision has permeutated, my plans have followed a path unpredicted by the union of NOD and GDI, our directives must be reassessed." I think he wanted to wipe out mankind and use the cyborgs for the purpose of calling the scrin down to earth.

C&C was allways with the classical cliche of Good(GDI,gold eagle)vs Evil(Nod,red-black scoprion)

It would have been much better to common sense making the factions less good vs evil.GDI should be more of a facist regime that cares only about exploiting tiberium, waging war against something, keeping itself in "struggle" against a common threat(tiberium and nod). That way it can sustaion itself. This way,or at least similarly, our modern world works aswell.

Nod on ther other hand is a pact with the devil, full of lies(Future with tiberium),atrocities(tiberium experiments) and ravage(raiding cities)

kane is a lier.In the second tiberium war,it is seen what he would do to earth(might as well be understood as the last salvation for the human race, its destruction). That missile could have been also the attractor to the Scrin.
The world with evolved humans would be existing only with cyborgs, beings created only to serve him agains the scrin.

kane hated humans as they were always the reason why his plans failed.

In FS,kane in stasis,CABAL saw the humans as the reason for Nod's fail.So under his impression(a missile killing all humans but cyborgs),humans needed to be exterminated. So as to pave the world for Kane. That failed again.

As for tiberium becoming more primitive in C&C3,its EA's fail.No need for tiberium becoming primitive and non mutagenic.

its something subterrainean or stealthed, with big guns and very versatile, but surely not as powerfull as the mammoth mk2, but surely fits for ambushes, although it cant hit air units (giving the stealth tank a purpose in all these) and is futuristic and maybe bug like, nod way. am i right?

That breaks NOD's whole combat doctrine.

Stealth and Speed, can't do that with a huge friggin mech or vehicle.. Personally the Redeemer was a let-down for more than it being a ****** vehicle, but rather because it was a giant mech that completely broke NOD's whole concept of hit and run geurilla tactics.

As a follower of Nod in Australia, Kane did Australia a service bringing the power of Tiberium and also bringing the Black Hand to Australia (thou that was actually Brother Marcion's doing the moving the Black Hand to Australia part). Unfortunately one of Brother Marcion's follower's killed Anton Slavik, one of the few men who could have succeeded Kane and did at the end of Firestorm. My loyalties are to Slavik and Kane in the Second Tiberium War :).

I hope in future TSR titan and juggernaut gets railgun upgrade coz that railgun is simply stunning! Easily the best railgun fx in all C&C3 mods!

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

Jenrama - - 24 comments

An unaccurate artillery bombardment mech replacing its weapon with precise targeting weapon which also lacks the range that juggernaut's long toms have.. Basically you want a titan with 3 railguns.

Railguns are precise targeting weaponry, the Artillery is bombardment at extreme range, the Titan has the precision and strength to stand through most assaults and come out on top. The Juggernaut is and has always meant to of been a ranged artillery platform able to perform saturated bombing on open areas. Replace its loadout with a railgun and you no longer have an active artillery for GDI other than the Hover LRMS, and its more of a precision artillery platform since its missiles have actual co-ordinates and can lock onto vehicles.

Well actually railgun projectiles can fly further then regular projectiles (an estimate is 30 000 kilometres, tho varies in wpn power), problem is that since the velocity is friggin huge, it might be hard do the bombardment as it is now(an arcing shot), as the projectile would either overfly when shot with a arc or hit an obsticle on the way if shot straight. This all given if we consider reality.

While that is unlikely I wont rule out we will have upgrades for various things in TS Rising, which Tiberian Sun had no upgrades at all.

Remember its a redesign/reimagining not a remake, as long as it fits and stays true to Tiberian Sun it can potentially be in, main factor is gameplay & balancing and whether it suits the faction in question and units its attached to.

Please don't have a Railgun upgrade, I'm not saying this because TS didn't have upgrades, I'm saying this because of the history the second Tib war was in, it dosn't fit the time line. railguns wasn't that advanced back then as in the Third war, please don't make that upgrade, please. <:)
