Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

My favorite base defense of all time. (Obilisk of light is at number 2).

I cant put my finger on it, but something is off with those laser turrets. They look kind of strange..

Very very nice. Can the laser turrets retract back underground?

Yes they can retract underground,

Atlas what your referring to is likely the Platform/door mechanism which atm is raised/open. When you see it closed it will make sense :).

Does the Laser turret stay burrowed and pops up to shoot enemy units like they do in the Tiberium sun trailer ?

It certainly does. It pays to scout ahead not only because Nod could stealth their entire base with a Stealth Generator. But early on before they get Stealth Gens the Laser Turrets being able to hide a Nod base may appear to be undefended but looks can be deceiving :).

Looks lovely! The platform is a bit bigger than what I remember but it looks good

Well we went for a door mechanism that close's in shape of the Nod logo when sealed up. This required little more space particularly when open then a small box door like the original in the FMV. Looks quite cool opening up particularly especially a group of them :)

I know comment-advice can be irksome, but I suggest toning down the beams of the laser turrets. I really don't think they should match the intensity of the Obelisk. I would also consider making them pure red and add a pulsing effect.

Looks good otherwise.

Good point, we'll try making the beams visibly more distinguishable.

ok in the lower left corner there are a obelisk, the laser turret and something else I cant quite make up...what is that?

It's a buried Tick-Tank. It reflects the purpose of digging in to gain protection a lot better if the tank doesn't go to an upright position exposing most of its top armor (which is usually rather weak on tanks to begin with).

Looks awesome!
But I've got a question - can this turret be damaged while it is in "sleep mode"? Or shall it be active, cooking some target, to be vulnerable? If it is so, it would be impossible to destroy it without having any damage..
Sorry for my English:)

I'm fairly certain you can destroy them when they are undeployed. Thats the whole point of being able to destroy them with titans, because titans can shoot them while out of the lasers weapon range. i believe i read this somewhere? (assuming you have detected them).

Plus it just wouldnt make any sense if you couldnt.... a player could simply place 50 of them and disable their power and they would be invincible hahaha

You can destroy them while there burrowed, but you've gotta find them first which you need a detector for. Without a detector they will only be visible when they are firing at you.

In such a case the MSA seems to be the most useful unit in GDI assault team:)

Well yes we did want to increase the usefulness of the Mobile Sensor Array. There are other detectors available on GDI but the MSA has the highest detection range.

And one more question - how about the effectiveness of this laser turret? In vanilla C&C3 they are almost useless, you know... In C&C3:KW laser turrets were more powerful, and could fry couple of Titans. And what about this one?

Unlike the Laser from C&C3 which was designated as an anti-tank defense, this one is designed to fight infantry and light vehicles. While it has enough firepower to go against Titans, it is outranged by them so you have to properly position it to lure enemies into a trap should you wish to use it as an AT defense.

I still think you should have an option to turn the rings off. As you should give the player more faith in knowing where and which units are what.
