Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

Thanks for the update to my favorite faction, Down with GDI!

The Obelisk of Light looks awesome and is very detailed, I'm also interested in the two methods of deployment and can hardly wait to see them in game.

Tiberian Sun Rising is doing Multiplayer/Skirmish first because thats the best dev plan, we will patch errors after release while the single player Campaign is being made. Rather then risk doing a buggy campaign.

Secondly Tiberian Sun Rising used to be a Zero Hour mod before we upgraded to the C&C3 engine. Zero Hour is incapable of doing a recreation of Tiberian Sun stabily, and since Tiberian Sun Rising is MORE then the original TS Zero Hour prooved to be unsuitable to our needs. I've already warned your team of the fact ZH is ill suited for Tiberian Sun but if you wish to continue you'll soon find what I'm talking bout.

Well if you guys have the goal of creating an awesome Tiberian Sun mod and are looking to learn/pick up skills to the point we have. Perhaps you should consider joining our team.

Representing the C&C Tiberian Dawn/Sun Redux Team:

This Mod and TFTW had always been an inspiration for us since they first appeared on Zero Hour... I personally speculated about why you guys moved the Mod to C&C3 because not just that it was the nicer game engine but the fact that it was designed to be more friendlier to TS style themes and gameplay than Zero Hour.

I had been quietly working in the Zero Hour modding community for nearly six years as a mapper and basic coder/scripter and I have completely come to understand the limits and issues with Zero Hour. That is one reason why I urged to stay more along the lines of the original C&C for Zero Hour with Tiberian Dawn Redux (with the exception of the addition of special features) mainly due to the fact that it better suited Zero Hour better then Tiberian Sun. I know from experience the challenges are still there of course with stuff such as Tiberium and Construction Yards working properly with stability) but I still continue to come up with some interesting tricks to compensate for the shortfalls of the limits within Zero Hour. I just wanted to keep at least a couple Tiberian based Mods alive on Zero Hour for the Zero Hour fans. I also know that Zero Hour and C&C3 Tiberian based Mods cannot truly be compared with each other mainly due to the vast difference between the SAGE engine versions being used.

However, I do admit and believe Tiberian Sun Rising will be the best Tiberian based Mod ever for the whole C&C series! No offense to the other Mods & Development teams (which includes my own), because there are so many awesome Mods out there and it is sometimes hard to decide how to rank them in greatness! I look forward to playing this Mod one day and I also greatly anticipate playing "The Forgotten" and even C&C3's "Tiberian Dawn".

I would even be glad to assist even though I still know little about modding C&C3 in contrast to Zero Hour. ;)

Have a great day everyone and Happy Modding! :D

We went off Westwoods concept design, not the ingame version. Which is also partly what inspired the two different modes of fire/deployment.

I think the other can only attack ground and the other Ground / Air

both modes are used to attack ground forces in a different manner, no Anti-Air capability thats a tad too powerful.

Description

Presenting the Brotherhood of Nod's Obelisk of Light! You'll quickly notice there are two different modes of deployment for the Obelisk of Light just by looking at this shot. The different modes set the Obelisk to use its laser quite differently between the two modes. Also featured in this shot is Nod's Tick Tank! Burrowed and un-burrowed for your viewing pleasure armed with a Vulcan cannon and a 90mm cannon the Tick Tank is quite a deadly defensive weapon.
