Ingame, there will be a Laser-Wall all arround it, I just couldn't render it properly. Also It can fire a cluster missile every 2 minutes, no, it's not the SW.

The 4 hexagonal pads around it is where the upgrades will be represented.

Well I'm sure with Upgrades It'll look nicer. But as it stands, even without textures, it looks kind of plain. Maybe its just me. :P

Well I mean Like there doesn't seem to be a lot of things protruding from the base structure and stuff :P It just seems like a lack of Detail but then I said maybe its just me (Probably is). Of course, I know with you working on it it WILL look amazing when its finished so I'll just wait and see :)

There is no point in doing much detail directly on the model since that will just generate way to much polys. You can do alot of details by texture without overwhelming the game with extra polygons.

Actually Polygons are no problem, at all, in CNC3...

May not be for the game itself, but ... i wonder if **** loads of polys on the screen wont screw alot of pc's .

It won't, due to the way the CnC3 engine works.

I actually think it looks exactly like it needs to. Nod buildings shouldn't be super ostentatious ( <-- word means overly complex/detailed and unnecessarily so).

A plain pyramid, with some red glass textures and plenty of Nod imagery on it does just fine. Plus the laser fence will make it look better.

Very nice model, how effective are the cluster missiles? Powerful enough to destroy a Power Plant for example?

It can take out a Powerplant, Barracks/Hand of Nod, and perhaps a Refinery.

Kinda like the TS one, only slightly weaker?
Anyways, can't wait to see it skinned and ingame :)

nod is a stealthy group so why would they want their buildings to be even more noticable?

they had a Pyramid in TS, I guess it has to do with the whole Egypt-linked religious stuff.

i meant with alot of detail on their buildings. size doesnt really matter since no matter how large the building theres probably a landform thats larger. i mean if they wanted to NOD probably could make it so their entire base blended into the landscape

In TS their Tech center was Mainly Under Ground. Same thing with the C&C 3 War Factory Vehicle Construction was Mainly Under Ground.

Alot of the Nod Structures where Mostly Underground they only had the Upper part so you had something to place in the RTS.

In Reality there would be no Fancy bases and stuff... Except for GDI they'd do something like that.

That looks quite nice, even in such a plain...um...rendition. Good concept. Bit of the iconic Nod pyramid in there as well.

Lovely idea! The design itself isn't so bad, either. I dislike the Nod Tech Center design in TW personally, I always thought it looked too weird and bland and its shape was too similiar to the Scrin one.

Actually Nod is stealthy in Combat. They hide their bases in the second tiberian war. because they couldn't directly confront GDI In the first war they lacked numbers. second war same thing. Third war they have high numbers and lots of funding and tech. They stopped being as 'stealthy' even though they were still stealthy at times their average infantrymen changed as did their construction abit. Also they've always loved large and religious structures.

On a vaguely related note, are you going to redesign the NOD infantry to be more like the ones you saw in the TS cutscenes instead of the stupid militia that they have in TW?

Nod infantry will be completely redone from scratch (beside the Shadows)

Excellent! I really hated what EA decided to do to NOD infantry :-s... as well as most of the other units lol.

Actually the Nod infantry made quite a lot of sense, you're not about to turn half the world population into elite soldiers so quickly...

Thats a fair point :-p, i understand EA's logic but i thought that NOD lost a lot of its style and surely if they had all the fancy armour and equipment in TS then they would still be able to make it.

Im looking forward to seeing how you are going to redesign them anyway.

Nod still hides mostly because of GDI's ion cannon

Good design, i dont think you can go wrong with NOD and pyramids. Is that bobbly shape inside the top of the pyramid the multi-missile?

yeah, pretty much what everyone else says. Model looks good but plain, should look a lot better with a texture and wall. Also, it's nice to see some throw-backs to Nod pyramid architecture

will it have a cap over the missile while the multi-missile is recharging?

yes, the tip of the pyramid retracts once the missile is ready.
