Attempt #1 for the Projectile. Not quite what I was aiming for, what do you guys think?

I think it looks very nice. Is there a vid on it?

Kind of thing I think you'd have to see in action to really get an idea on. As in a video.

I agree with this cause a lot of the animation is what makes stuff awesome

Is it one projectile leaving several gas/energy rings behind it, like the Alien weapon from Turok 1, or is it several pulsed rings being fired?

But when I fist saw the Firestorm concept I imagined it would fire a stream or beam of anti-matter at the target.

It fires a 'pellet' of antimatter in a containment field. Due to the inability to completely seal it off, some of the antimatter is constantly annihilated with a bit of the air, an antiproton at a time at most, this creates little explosions outside the field - thus the shockwaves behind it.

I think it looks promising, but could you try a reddish-orangish version just for kicks and giggles?

No, it will be blue, since it's Firestorm based.

i think the muzzle effect is kinda ugly though, should be a bluish instead of a bright yellow/white

I still need to change the firing FX, this is merely for the Projectile.

what does this defense system do anyway? what's its role? it's pretty much the first time i've seen the firestorm cannon in action.

Advanced base defense. Short description, Firestorm fields make things not exist.

Too bad vehicle destruction is pretty much set animations. It'd be neat to make them implode from this when they're killed.

I thought the firestorm defense was a wall that accelerated particles into the air, not anti-matter. O_o

IIRC the Firestorm shield contains Anti-Particles in some sort of magnetic field, anything touches it, it dies.

I will agree the effect is a bit strange, but I think it could work. just with a longer trail instead of the short trail. I do have a question why not have one larger gun barrel instead of two? well that is up to you.
