Tiberian Apocalypse is a Partial Conversion for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars with the goal to create a true Tiberian Sun sequel. GDI, Nod and the Scrin are getting a complete overhaul.
how about those classic ww2 flaks, like the soviet one in red alert just 4 more smokey explosions not directly hitting but with AoE. like in 4.bp.blogspot.com . if you give the explosion a nice effect lets say with a lightning or some sparkling it could turn out really nice. well lets be honest if you make it it turns out nice anyway -.-
i belive if you put EMP shells into the quad Gun it will be the too powerful because 1 EMP round will make the enemy aircraft just drop and you would only ever need one or two AA towers so i have to say NO for the EMP shells sorry.
or better yet allow the turret to hav the emp shots as a special ability. once a turret has fired all of its EMP shots all the other EMP ability of the turrets would cool down so at least it would have some balance.
Pretty sure an EMP effect would shut the down and bring out all the finest aerodynamic properties of a brick but I really can't think of anything else other than the 20th century puffs o' smoke and I really can't fathom GDI using those.
quad railguns(low power otherwise aricraft would be slawughtered) with individual upgrade for emp shells that do less damages but have say a 45% chance of emp'ing the aircraft...thats my idea
I'm pretty sure you could say aircraft have a backup system. EMP could work, but I think at most it would stall an aircraft(with such a system) for a couple seconds making it maybe spin a little or just dive and recover, disabling weapons and making the aircraft recover its target as well.
EMPing aircraft is deadly to the aircraft, and i don't think there are levels of EMP, you short all of the electronics or you don't short anything
and Flak was given up for a good reason, AOE doesn't compare to accurate weapons that can deal more damage
most weapons technology is based upon increasing accuracy and evading enemy fire, things are developing that way for good reasons, I vote either tungsten or railguns, both have been used but there isn't much left that hasn't been done
Indeed, redundant electrical systems allow sensitive electronics to be disabled to mitigate damage while the backup electrical systems fill in for permanent damage and any temporarily disabled systems.
EMP= too overpowered. Think that some railgun traces+ clouds of shell fragments would be nice. Like some new way of "delivery" to the sky (e.m. acceleration) + old-school altitude fuzes.
Although I think that 2 barrelss will look better.
A chaingun setup firing exploding flechettes. It fires a burst of nail-looking projectiles, maybe a bit glowy, and they keep sticking into the wings of the plane and such until it's health is gone. Once the unit is "dead", it starts listing or losing control slightly, flying a bit further along and then just exploding in midair as the flechettes detonate.
Quad guns, no sure what to make them fire yet. EMP shells maybe?
It's just an idea so far.

personally random flak would be awesome, just imagine hordes of aliens ships and flak filling the skys
wtf?! flak? so inaccurate!!
so here comes a one-hit-kill AA turret. EMP shells are too much man. it'd be better off with quad rail guns or anything of the sort.

Why not have both? AP rounds or switch to EMP?

EMP shells gainst aircraft is way too deadly,) Oneshot aircraft... Or you suppose flak-like EMP?
Not one-shot EMP ofc.

how about shapnel rockets, they fire at an aircraft and when close detonate fireing a focused set if shapnel at the target crippling it
AP flechettes, like those heavy nailguns... just a bit bigger ;), ripping **** apart!
I'm not sure what to think of the double guns on top... It does seem a bit overkill.
I save my judgement until it is textured.

Shredder Rounds !!!
So we are just skiping missile technology in favor of more dakka?
sure sounds ok with GDI rail technology.
switchable rounds? EMP to disable the weapon systems. But does little damage. And normal flak for doing damage.
Generic autocannon shells? Mediocre rate of fire but high damage per hit.
very nice work
tungsten rounds
How about a flak railgun? Uses GDI Railguns to propel a slug that detonates at a certain altitude.
Cool railguns+nostalgic flak weapons
Best of both worlds.

That's not entirely true. Some systems are more or less vulnerable to EMP.

how about tags that eliminate stealth in aircraft for a short period of time? nod could then have an update that cancels this, but make it tier 4.
