Our friend Gul Dukat from Star Trek Armada III, another SoaSE mod recently started a Let's Play series in Imperial Civil War (our Empire at War mod). In the second episode, he and Corey discussed Thrawn's Revenge, Star Wars: Ascendancy (our Sins of a Solar Empire mod), and modding in general.

I'm just testing the mod, it looks great but I have two factions missing and a lot of other elements that re too, so please tell me how to change that, because I really wanna taste the full experience, also it is not possible to upgrade civilization in space skirmish (is that normal ?)

PS : I have RAW and The clone wars 4 mods installed, but in another file,
Anyone skillful would know how to do ?

When you say factions/elements are missing, do you mean all the text shows as [MISSING]? If so that just means you have Empire at War installed using a language we don't have a translation for. To fix this you need to go into your mods/Imperial Civil War/Data/Text folder and rename MasterTextFile_ENGLISH to end with your game's language e.g. _GERMAN or _FRENCH.

For Skirmish, make sure you are playing one of the skirmish maps added by this mod, and not one from the base game or another mod.

so after my first comment I realized that the other mods don´t have sound either. my eaw has sound but when i played foc without mods it too had no sound. must have happened anywhere between installing foc latest patch or the ram-patch.

I have a backup "data" folder that contains the original foc audio but i compared it to the current (not working-) one.. the files are all the same (kind name and size). so whats the problem here?

I´m at the end of my deductive reasoning.

Can the hand get some form of debuff? They're op in every aspect. And the fact that most of their capital ships cant get their engines destroyed is so irritating when attacking or defending as they can retreat even with only one hardpoint left.
Also, as much as I love this mod what makes it dull at times is the lack of abilities. The Jedi have some pretty well bland powers. Run and heal. Luke doesnt even have his light saber throw which I cant understand why it isnt in the mod any more. Most space ships have no power ups. While most abilities shouldnt be op this is an RTS, RTS's usually need abilities to make the game more fun. After so long some or most battles usually become the same. Just plain battles nothing to make them well fun.
Im rarely a complainer but this is something I felt I should well say. Ill continue to play with or without new abilities but I think for fun and game play aspects more abilities would def improve that.

1. We haven't seen anything to make us believe that the Empire of the Hand is out of line with the other factions (except maybe the cost effectiveness of the Furions).
2. Every ability in Empire at War is absolute ****, especially the space ones. There's essentially just power to weapons, power to shields, and power to engines. Abilities in EaW are not moddable, so we can't add new ones.

Great mod and with in it makes the game much more appealing and the fact that this game follows after the events of the battle of endor, makes this mod feel like a full expansion to the game as this mod is at times fells more or less like one. To me the mod seems to have put better effort into there work man then the actually developers at times. Many new factions tons of new units and a lot of new worlds, while not every planet from the original game are here it makes up for with at least 50 more…
