Imperial Civil War 2.0 Hotfix 2
Nov 25, 2012 Patch 16 commentsSecond hotfix for ICW2.0. Requires an unmodified installation with Hotfix 1.

The Imperial Remnant comprised the regions of the galaxy still under Imperial control following the Emperor's defeat at Endor.

The New Republic was established by the Rebel Alliance to replace the Galactic Empire following the Battle of Endor.

The Empire of the Hand was founded in secret by Grand Admiral Thrawn to explore the Unknown Regions.

During the fragmentation of the Empire, the Pentastar Alignment was formed of fourteen sectors in the outer rim.

Several active smaller factions have been added to the game, including the Hapes Consortium, Duskhan League and Imperial Warlords.

New scenarios have been created, allowing exciting new gameplay in each era of Thrawn's Revenge.

Thrawn's Revenge has been completely redesigned from the ground up to give new aesthetics and playability.

Thrawn's Revenge uses a unique era-based advancement system, replacing the traditional technology system.

Alright, so the beta for 2.1 is fast approaching, and we're about to start picking beta testers. For your edification, here's how we go about choosing testers, and how the beta process works.
As we've said many times, the closed beta is not an opportunity to just get and play the mod early. Because of the limited size of the development team, and the large scope of the mod, beta testing requires a serious time commitment and a willingness to wade through hours of playing and replaying the same situations to provide useful feedback and data we can use to fix bugs, balance issues, and anything else that comes up.
As a result of this, we only pick testers out of our active community. This isn't because we think other people can't do it, it's just that we have limited slots so we have to choose people who we know are invested in making the mod as good as possible, and are willing to suffer through the repetition for it.
So, if you have fewer than five posts and apply because it "could be fun" there's basically no chance we'll pick you. The best way to get picked is to post bugs from existing versions, post suggestions, and get involved in discussing it. That's really the only way we know people are dedicated enough. Otherwise, just wait for the final release; it'll be a lot more stable, and you can have all the fun you want to by playing normally without us telling you when/how/what to play.
For those who still want to do it and haven't signed up for consideration yet, the thread can be found here. If you're primarily active on another site (ModDB, Facebook) I can think of some people we'd be happy to have, but you do need to have a forum account to do this, since we organize the distribution and reports in a subforum.
We will be choosing the 15-20 2.1 beta testers by July 1st, 2013.

Requires an unmodified installation of Imperial Civil War 2.0 This may cause a crash if you use an old save.
Conquer the galaxy in a more accessible format for Steam users than the installer.
Play through Star Wars history after Endor as the New Republic, Imperial Remnant, Empire of the Hand or Pentastar Alignment. If you use Steam for Empire...

Great mod and with in it makes the game much more appealing and the fact that this game follows after the events of the battle of endor, makes this mod feel like a full expansion to the game as this mod is at times fells more or less like one. To me the mod seems to have put better effort into there work man then the actually developers at times. Many new factions tons of new units and a lot of new worlds, while not every planet from the original game are here it makes up for with at least 50 more…

hey the forum link is slagged. it says not found. the server get shut down or something??
The network is switching servers, it should be back at some point.
probably a few days. Evaders99 moved the server of IA2 and it took around a week for the site to become functional again.
This mod looked really great at first, but most ships have from 4 to 6 hardpoints, which is not many compared to some mods, and the models just don't seem to match-up, either. Very cool effects, but I played each faction once and was done.
My opinion.
I find mods that have loads of hardpoints cramped up on each other really detracts from the experience though, so I like the hardpoint system in this mod.
You have to look at everything else this mod has done though; all of the factions they are adding, etc. Hardpoints are a drop in the sea of all the work that is going into this mod but I'm sure that they, among other things, are very liable to change in the future. As far as the models go, that's just what happens when you have so many people working together with no 'art director'. In other words, when you're not a production studio and everyone can stick to their own style ;)
I never said it was bad, just that it's not my style. I personally like massive, chaotic battles. Hence my hardpoint favoritism. It really is great, just wanted to put another opinion out in the open.
I know. I never said that you said it was bad ;) Just offering a contrasting viewpoint is all. We all have our own opinions.
loving the mod. Reason to play EaW.Got two questions though. In land battles my shield generator and my Turbo lase towers dont work. They r there but dont do anything. Also, im playing as Hand so i noticed other factions have Super star destroyers. Does Thrawn's faction have any super weapons like that? thnks.
you said with 5 bombers. does this mean squadrons, becuase that would put that to truth. even one bomber squad will divert attention and fighters/bombers get missed by capital ships alot
