Corey is continuing his series of Let's Plays in 2.2 on his channel to show off and discuss some of the changes we've made for 2.2 in a bit more detail than we can in pictures or news posts. Been enjoying the lets plays on your channel, Corey! Glad you're doing the Maldrood now, it's the faction I was most interested in. I hope there's a FTGU GC available for them at some point.
But yeah, the new effects and models look great. The old/current release ISD model is already pretty sweet, but the new one is definitely better. I think the damage particles/effects not only look great, but will also make it easier to identify damaged ships that need to rotate out.
TR was already one of my favorite mods for any game, but the new factions and polish you guys are introducing is making a good thing even better.
Edit: Replaced some of the "great"s. I need a more diverse vocabulary :P
This makes me want to play so badly regardless of how unfinished it is :(
