Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

No, there's no known design or even class name for the Springhawk, which was Thrawn's ship in Outbound Flight. There's barely even a description, but it certainly wasn't only armed on one side. This was all me.

Well, considering it spent the entirety of the mod's timeline crashed on a planet I wouldn't expect to see it ingame, but back in 2006 when we were going to do the Fall of the Republic od and cover it, we had a model made at least:

Has anyone bothered to wonder what would happen to the ship if an enemy attacks it on the side where the utilities are?

Description

One of the new space units for the Empire of the Hand in 2.0. The Nuruodo is a 600 meter long frigate which has weapons on one side and support systems on the other. Basically, what this means is that where you'd normally be paying twice the amount for twice the weapons, on a ship with both sides fully armed that weapon capacity is diminished by the firing ranges of each weapon. With this ship, if you were to pay an equal amount for equal firepower, you're able to concentrate all of it from two frigates onto a single target or distribute it as needed, rather than having half of a ship go to waste. This advantage in firepower distribution is contrasted with a lower mobility, and a need to make sure that you don't make the tactical mistake of allowing the enemy around the other side. Using 2-4 of these in conjunction with a Phalanx is highly effective.

(The ingame version is the one with weapons/trench facing left, the version facing right is simply to show the other side in the render)
