Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

Raid fleets? I don't recognize that from vanilla or ThrRev

They aren't in vanilla; they're the third side that joins in on some space battles in Thrawn's Revenge.

Since this is about the Demo I'm just going to leave this here instead of the main comments page (where it might get buried).

It's not a really gamebreaking "bug" but still something that might be worth pointing out:

I've started a GC playing as the New Republic and while they still have the option to build "Imperial" units you cannot build Golan Platforms on the Hapan planets with Lv2 or Lv3 shipyards because the regular NR units + Imperial units + Hapan exclusive units take up so much room in the UI that the Golan platforms are not clickable and thus unbuildable.
Once I defeated Zsinj and the Imperial units were removed from the roster at least the Golan I became buildable again on Hapes and Charubah, but the Golan II or III as usual for Lv3 shipyard-worlds still isn't available.

When I build Quasar-Fire Carriers they also appear as units on the ground instead of as space units as they are advertised (they're in the space tab after all), but I'm not sure if that's really a bug or a compromise for the new "having fighters on the ground"-feature.

---
Other than that though I'm absolutely in love with the new models for the bigger space ships, they're a huge improvement over those used in Version 2.1.

having those 3rd party ships jump in, can really be deadly at times

They usually present no threat in the late game, but they have provided distractions to the enemy for me before so I can rally my forces and destroy them all
