Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty.

Description
Play through Star Wars history after Endor as the New Republic, Imperial Remnant, Empire of the Hand or Pentastar Alignment. If you use Steam for Empire at War, it is recomended that you use the .zip version.

Install to:
...Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruptions
-Doublic Click bat file in the Forces of Corruption folder or desktop shortcut to play
Steam Installation Instructions: (It is strongly recommended you use the .zip version for steam installation)
-Run the installer and install to anywhere, then take the Imperial_Civil_War folder out of the Mods folder it supplies.
-Find Empire at War in your steamapps folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars empire at war\ ).
-Create a Mods folder in star wars empire at war\corruption.
-Copy/paste the Imperial_Civil_War folder from your desktop into the newly created Mods folder.
To play the mod via Steam:
-Open Steam and go to Empire at War, right click and select Properties.
-Click Launch Options and add sweaw MODPATH=Mods\Imperial_Civil_War
-Close Properties and click Play, selecting Forces of Corruption.
-To play the original game just reverse the second set of steps and remove MODPATH=Mods\Imperial_Civil_War from the Launch Options.

-When Playing Skirmish, Only Use Maps Starting with ThRev.
-Tech levels no longer exist in the mod, it is based on eras. See the manual for more information.

I want to download thrawn's revenge but I don't know if it will harm my laptop. I am not very computer savvy about the technical know how of downloads and such. which version is the best? I have EAW FOC when it first came out but is there a way to download it without needing the disk? which version would that be?
The installer for 2.0 and then for the two individual patches is probably the easiest for new users. There isn't a version that doesn't require the FoC disk though.
But does it harm one's computer/laptop in any way? Is that the one that is available here and how does one install it?
We wouldn't release it if it harmed your computer. All you have to do is click the "Download Now" button, then save it somewhere. Once the download finishes, run the program and follow the instructions in the installer or the manual we've provided elsewhere on the page. After that just repeat with the two patches.

Make sure you download and install the hotfixes. This sounds like the commandbar compression error some video cards have which was addressed in the first one.
i found a few mistakes
the captureabble Turbolasers(or all of thems i don't know)description is missing, like the planet of Kairek.
the text of the Population, and the history is missing...
and you would put the Pentastar alignment to the history line too
I took me the whole day to download the installer, only for it to "This file contains invalid data." Any ideas as to why this would happen? I've heard extremely good things about this mod, but considering that I have a limited bandwidth per month, if I download again I will have to be 100% sure that it will work upon being downloaded. Thanks for the help in advance.
That could happen if it didn't finish downloading or the download was interrupted.
You may want to try using an alternative mirror for the download when you click the download now button as Gamefront might be a tad iffy these days. That or Desura is also an option.

OMG!
i played with IR in Art of War, and won without losing Issard, so byss reamined "closed" planet. so i couldn't realy win...
no enemy and the game is countinueing 4 ever 'cuz byss isn't mine, but i can't cap it...
what should i do??????
