That looks very good, i remember the original ones, haha.
I have an little advice for you, that fire looks good, but could be more awesome if you combine that fire (particle?) with a big glow sprite in it, you will see how more realistic will look. Check Unreal2 fire, for example, i believe is done in that way and is very believable fire, even if the texture quality or number of frames arent good.
Plz, give a try and you will be amaze! I promise. ;)
