P.S And espesially for Warner Bros. inc. - you guys really should rethink your relations with moddevs, free mods that covers the story of Middle Earth, positively affect the interest to all YOUR products that have any connection with Middle Earth and LOTR, instead of counteracting you should support such free mods as Merp. Just saying.

had not too much time last few weeks, but however, I had a hard time with CK. The main thing is that now it is clear how to make the dungeon really big. Well and I tried to understand how to import the hightmap, looks like it is not so hard. It won't be the hightmap of the whole middleearth, only region of Misty mountains with Moria and a little part of Lothlorien maybe. I'll try to make it a little bit bigger than a playable Skyrim territory.

More likely, that in this world space will be a part of Lothlorien. I'm gonna import 4096x4096 hightmap, it would be bigger than Skyrim in a quater, if I'm correct, so thats a hell of a job even with that size

Unfortunately, Skyrim is a little hard for modding, compared with Oblivion. For me at least. I mean, adding custom models is tricky, but still it is possible.

Cryengine is very powerfull and flexible engine, but it is simple to create FPS in SDK, but not an RPG. It is not impossible to make it, just like it is not impossible to make an orbital Death star.
About Skyrim - there is a CK, with all the possibilities it can provide in making RPG, and there is a Nexus full of interesting mods and stuff with a great community.
But yeah, when I first saw Skyrim's graphics, I thought "What the hell? Maybe there is smth wrong with my settings?". But now there are graphics mods, and, hey! there is ENBSeries - with proper settings it can provide graphics at least not bad! And blow up your computer of course.

I had not much free time these two weeks, but, however, there is a progress, it is not about the modelling, but about the CK and game size standarts, and other important things, that should be clear until creating big structures. There are still some very important things to clear up, but eventually it is all that need to be done to prevent future problems.

Parallax works fine, if there is a light nearby, so it can be implemented in such locations as the Chamber of Mazarbul. Now got some problems with interior cell limitations, I asked about it in Beth forums yesterday, no replies yet. The 21st hall can be assembled huge, but it would be better to try make it bigger.
