It feels odd when returning to CS from COP and wearing the outfits without a helmet so this is a welcome feature that every mod should use now that it's been created.

I am planning on making a SoC version of this script at some point, so we have usable helmets for all 3 games.

Hey thats a nice feautre, good work. Equippable helmets gives more opportunities to create his personal equipment.
And your new inventroy looks so awesome, i really like it, it gives a the good old stalker shoc feeling back.

Thanks. The helmets should provide plenty of opportunities for player gear customization, so people can use their favourites.
And as for the inventory, I'm redoing the interface so it has a strong SoC feel. Too many mods keep the same base CS feel, or try for a CoP style interface.

Do you plan to add different hudmask for the helemts ?
About the inventory, i agree with you, i don`t like the CS style of the UI. My Favorite is the ShoC style and i like it that you bring this cool Look to CS. Great

No, I don't plan to add hudmasks. I just don't like them in general, or the way they look.

I'm the second modder to attempt this for CS. Our implementations are similar, but different enough.

You should add a first person view for the helmets as well, similar to the misery mod for CoP. Those were really cool.

Description

The Zones Call will feature equippable helmets. These can be used by double clicking on them in the inventory, or right mouse click, then selecting 'use' from the popup menu.
Helmets will follow a few simple rules.
1) They can only be attached when wearing a suit which accept one. So if you're not wearing a suit, you cannot equip one. Any suit with an inbuilt helmet, such as the SEVA with its closed circuit breathing system, will also not allow a helmet to be equipped.
2) Helmets can be freely swapped. Got a helmet on, and want to swap to a different one? Just use it.
3) Helmets do not transfer onto new suits. If you change suits, then you'll need to re-equip your helmet, or put another on. If you need to change suits, then you'll probably be wanting to put a different helmet on anyways (more on this later...)
4) Removing the suit will remove any equipped helmets. And then reattach the suit. Sorry, its the way the script and engine works. Once the helmet is removed, you can remove the suit without it re-equipping itself.

At this stage, this feature is done, just need to finish tweaking the suit properties to balance helmets out, along with the new upgrades.
