Wow guys,..

10K!!! VISITS

We want to seriously thank you for all your support. So far it's been an amazing ride and we can all tell how much you really want this MOD to succeed. :D

It seems that, between posting online here and on the GoT Subreddit we totally went viral! We found our mod being posted on GoT news sites out of Brazil and other locations all over the world!

Our last feature which was put up on moddb included a video of our world map and it's scale.
As I write this today,.. it has received a grand total of:

*EDIT* To summarize this we've been in as high as in the 20's on the Top 100 and averaging about 40-50 sometimes dropping as low as 150's-400's. I will include the real-time rank html below so you can track it:

I still see a future for this :) , I was part of the people following this mod on their official site and would have helped had i not been a noob at modding but now that I know how to mod I may talk to the owner and see about getting the rights to this mod or see if I can join another team that wants to work on this amazing mod.

Don't you dare give up on this mod! This is an amazing idea that could bring the world of ASoIaF to life in a way that nothing else could. I am sure that if you put out enough requests for modders you will find people who are eager to help. GoT has a large following due to the TV series and Skyrim must have the biggest modder community of any game. Do not lose this opportunity to create what would be, in my opinion, one of the greatest games of all time.

Though the internet is dark and full of trolls, don't let the lack of commitment from some people put you off, there will be others who will help you. You must believe that. I would offer to help myself but sadly I'm no good at modding :( though WHEN you do continue making this, I would happily help with story lines, dialog, quests, and checking the accuracy compared to the books, and similarly, I am sure that many many others who cannot mod would do the same.

Your project stands upon the edge of a knife...do not stray from it now, do not fail us, the fans of Skyrim and GoT alike. And if I were you, I'd start soon, after all...

PLEASE do a collaboration with skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20925

Their models are unmatched and it would really save you time. The weak point of that mod is the map is vanilla. The weak point of this mod is that you don't have the models you need. You two are "natural allies"

I'm KatoPlato, posting on behalf of the whole team and Tophloaf:

Hi everyone and thanks for the interest!

I'm part of the dev team for the Westeros project. As you might have guessed, this project is no longer moving forward. Unfortunately, we were never able to put together a dedicated team large enough to do this project justice. There was a very dedicated revolving team of 5-6 people to whom a world of thanks is owed. I think you'll all agree that this was an amazing vision for a mod, and unfortunately, the internet told us that there was not enough development interest, so we shut it down. The remaining few of us who closed the doors have moved on to develop original game content. In the meantime I'd like to post a little bit of what we accomplished.

Most of the development time was overhead, getting the infrastructure in the ground to support such a large project and team. Unfortunately, much of that does not come through in these images. What you will see is Winterfell's Godswood in all its mysterious, ancient glory. Ned Stark as developed by our ridiculously talented modeler. Some amazing house banners, and a few other things. I hope you enjoy and I'm sorry to say that this is the last we'll be working on the project.

If anyone is interested in source files, or us releasing some of the playable files to the public let me know.

I hope you can enjoy our 9 months of hard work. Thank you for looking!

"Dark wings, dark words."

I wrote a whole thing on how you guys gave up, didn't try hard enough, how wrong it was to post such awesome images to those looking forward to the mod while saying it will never be complete. I went on and on as you could imagine.

But deleted it and I will just say I am sorely disappointed. Not wanting to upset anyone of the members. But I was so excited to see it come to fruition, I mean look at all the sample images, the vastness of the video, the epic Wall. I've never seen such an awesome rendering of Ned Stark and those banners are spot on. The recreation it could of been would of been epic. I could see it my minds eye, but alas the mod team couldn't see it through. I would of waited several years to see it completed.

It is my hope that perhaps after a hiatus the work would continue, but that seems improbable. Now the only chance is that the team, keeps a look out for another talented and driven team they can graciously give their unfinished work to.

In closing, I give a small thank you to The Westeros Project mod team, in showing me what could be done.
