Wow guys,..

We want to seriously thank you for all your support. So far it's been an amazing ride and we can all tell how much you really want this MOD to succeed. :D

It seems that, between posting online here and on the GoT Subreddit we totally went viral! We found our mod being posted on GoT news sites out of Brazil and other locations all over the world!

Our last feature which was put up on moddb included a video of our world map and it's scale.
As I write this today,.. it has received a grand total of:

*EDIT* To summarize this we've been in as high as in the 20's on the Top 100 and averaging about 40-50 sometimes dropping as low as 150's-400's. I will include the real-time rank html below so you can track it:

The Westeros Project

And all of this.... In ONE WEEK to the day! The video was first published on Aug 24, 2012

As I said.. It's been an amazing ride, and for all of your wonderful support, and how much you've shown us that you want to see this become a reality. We would like to respond in kind. ;)

We have a special surprise feature coming up as a present JUST FOR YOU and all the AMAZING SUPPORT you've all shown us! Sincerely, From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you!

There will be a few teaser hints given in the coming days so keep your eyes peeled on our moddb page. Stay Tuned!

Tophloaf, one of the original modders for this project, was nice enough to give me all the files for the mod. So if anyone wants to continue moving this forward then you can either ask Tophloaf on reddit for the files or get in contact with me and we might be able to push forward with this project (but expect extremely slow progress).

So if there's anyone out there who can mod skyrim to a high level then get in contact!! WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE

Hi, I'm the modder of the Game of Thrones Adaptation Mod for Skyrim.
I tried to take the Westeros Project team up on their offer of releasing the source files a few months ago, just to have a look at them and see if I could make anything from it. If you have them and are willing/permitted to share, drop me a PM either here or on the Nexus.
Can't make any promises, but I'm curious to see what the WP team came up with and whether or not I could build on some their work and put it into a useable, releaseable form.

Ever since I watched game of thrones I wanted to play a free roam rpg set in game of thrones. I watch all the seasons so far in about the span of 3-4days:D this week. And since I was in general checking moddb for new mods I stumbled upon this mod which truly impressed me as I was not expecting it! Although the lack of recent updates makes me a bit disappointed and I am wondering how much of the mod is actually done and when will we see city and castle pictures? Also I am quite a noob with modeling but I might be able to do something for this mod.

Wait Westeros is coming? (Trying to integrate game of throne references at 5am in the morning while I haven't slept at all yet) anyways I though Westeros was defeated (I really should stop this) it's awesome news that Westeros is being brought back to life. However I should warn you of one thing. I'm not sure skyrim could support a project the size of Westeros. It has a world limit of -64,64 as reported by the MERP team. if that bug doesn't get fixed worlds the size of Westeros would be impossible due to all activation scrips failing after venturing out of the -64,64 space. Of course this might not be true as I did not test it myself or even try to find the original news article that would talk about this bug but I trust the MERP team to have told the truth. Also there is one more skyrim but that I recently learned about. The game CTD when it uses about 4GB of RAM. This bug should not affect Westeros too much. However I would still recomend using a different engine. If possible making a game would be way more stable than a mod and CryEngine3 is the most advanced engine I know of. Also it would be very sad if this project ended up like MERP did. So taking any measures to prevent a C&D as well as game engine limits would be great.

I already tried out the map ingame (I also have cruddy 2gb ddr2 ram and it runs well) and it works pretty well , also I would love to make a standalone game but the problem is that we would have to get all the necessary permission to do so and it would take quite alot of time and most likely money to do so , the reason why I have been so interested in reviving this mod is because the map is already made and works pretty well and then there are already alot of GOT armor and character mods out there that with permission we could use.
