A WW1 full conversion mod for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, that will be using art and code from the long forgotten mod, The Great Trench War. I plan on making this mod as historically accurate and realistic as possible. I also plan on including the factor of Moral for infantry. This mod is also for vanilla Generals. I havent been working on it very long, and any help with skinning and/or modeling is welcome.

Progress and Changes

Its been a while since i've posted anything, so ill do a little report for ya'll.

I've been stuck on making a button to change the commandset mid-game for the tractor, but i think i almost have that done. i have also been working on INIs for the different Trenches, altho i have yet to add the models for them (im hoping to get someone to skin them before i do).

Also, do_i_ob has been making a few models for the mod.

There is some bad news though. Due to the way the game engine works, i can't add values to a unit. so i cant add a moral factor the way i wanted to. i may still be able to add some sort of moral though, by making an area the same as with the Red Guard's Horde ability. except it would have a negative effect, and have an extremely large radius compared to the Red Guard's area.

One last thing, i am going to stop making the ZH version for now. when the Generals version is at Alpha 0.5, i may go ahead and get the ZH version caught up. The reason for this is i basically need to do the ZH INIs from scratch, and if i do the Generals version and ZH version at the same time releases for either one will take much longer, as i would be switching back and forth between the two. I also may still continue to release unit images on ZH as well, for those who don't go to the Generals version.

I've got a doubt about the mod... could be possible construct trench systems? ok, command and conquer is a game with tanks, all kinds of vehicles and planes, but, like a suggestion, i would include planes and tanks, like generals powers, in fact, the most expensive powers. And, if you know how to do (i don't know, in the opposing case, i help you in that way) could be interesting that the AI, attack over all with artillery and infantry, like the real war.

Maybe is too hard to do that, but in any case, if this project ends well, i will want to play it :]

The trenches will be raised off the ground, but made to look like they're in-ground. And I'm basically wanting the trenches to have bridge INI so that ground units can run over them, and at the same time have them garrisonable. I don't think there's a way to let infantry go from one trench to another, tho(in other words, Yes, they'll be buildable). And as far as vehicles, I'm wanting atleast tanks to be buyable. Aircraft might be called in, though. (>I'll have to see if this is possible>)Note that on some maps "buyable" might not mean randomly popping out of a building :D And I'm wanting to eventully rework the AI, but I'v never tried. We'll see what happens :)
