Read the F.A.Q! I didn't make it for nothing: Here

To begin with, there will be four factions. These will be Gondor, Rohan, Isengard, and Mordor. We are really looking forward to including lots more factions, like Elven factions, Dwarven factions, and perhaps Harad/Rhun. Eriador is a possibility too! Pretty much, we aim to place you into Middle Earth, to do with as you see fit. There are only four initial factions simply because we want to finish the initial version, and allow you to play it.

The mod will be split up into multiple modules. Each module representing a different race. This means that if you want to play as a human and defeat Mordor you would have to select the Men of the West module. Men of the West will be the first to be released.

We will be spending a lot of time on making the map.
The area of Middle Earth that it will (initially) cover. In later releases, more of Middle-Earth will be accessible.

South of Gondor will also be included to open up new opportunities to the player, in the form of Haradrim/Corsairs-of-Umbar invasions.

Overrall, thank you ever so much for reading.
Please stay tuned!

I am raring to get started on the corsairs, though, so I'll keep this brief. Cheerio!

First of all I have no intention of spamming , but this game has so much potential for later mods in moddb i have to share it
HI! I WILL STRONGLY suggest to check out this game! A real time Startergy Space game with a mix of both Bridge commander and sins of a solar empire.
Maybe in the future a BSG startrek/starwars/ Babylon 5 mod would be perfect for this game

I don't want to be rude, but could you please not spam this **** here? The comments here are to discuss the mod. Not to advertise your stuff.

Hey Jarv its nice to see a LOTR mod being made on warband, hell this is probably the best LOTR game period lol EA will never make a game like this and we all know it. I just wanted to ask if you are placing freelancer in the future would be really cool and sorry if you already said you were, I read a lot of the comments and went to your site and didn't see anything. Thanks for making this mod going to be really fun.

Freelancer will probably not be included. Jarv had a hard time coding it in for the Veiled Stars. He said it was buggy as hell and moved on to more important stuff.

Im late to the "welcome back Jarvy party" but Welcome back anyway, im really glad to see that this mod is moving again as Lotr desperately needs a good game. by the way i see that you are gonna include diplomacy, but are you gonna include dismemberment/decapitation, i know that its a real pain to do and if you don't i fully understand but it would be really awesome to ride into a crowd of orcs while watching their filthy orc heads fly :D

Nope, this won't be included since it's pretty buggy.

Not only is it buggy, but when I suggested it Jarvisimo said that it's just way too cartoony for the dark and grim world of Middle-Earth. And I can clearly see where he's going with that ;)

true enough when i remember seeing that feature last it looked a little...odd, just because warband cant really pull it off well, but it is still a feature that i hope is improved on in banner lord as it would see to me that when i hit a neck with a great axe it shouldn't look just fine.

I agree with this. Bannerlord may make stuff like dismemberment possible with their new engine. But we'll see about that when bannerlord is released.
