The Ultimate Universe Mod began in January 2007 with the goal then being a multi stage development process. Chris Jones Gaming as an entity had just begun, and the team, growing by the day, was off to create one heck of a mod. The team acquired modelers, mappers, scripters, programmers, and other ‘staff’. We ended up releasing a ‘demo’ on 4/14/07 – Followed immediately by a little patch to fix a few things. Demo Patch two was released to the public on 5/21/07 after much beta testing, which included all new TOS ships from Moonraker, and a reworked single player campaign from Gamemaster, among other things. Many new missions and 1 on 1 maps added. Mindwipe provided many new sound effects and produced a very nice soundtrack for each race in the mod. Then came The Ultimate Borg, Dominion, then a full 1.0 release on 9/24/07. Stage 2 is in progress with no set release date. Stay tuned my friend.

The ole Marauder from BC ported by Muldrf with Acidfluxxbass's take on it's textures and Miri and Gan's effects and weapons. Galaxy X (Evolution) Class - By Acidfluxxbass & Noci3 - Scotchy original model and textures. The Icarus Class - Design: M. Christopher Freeman, Mesh: GMunoz, Porting by Acidfluxxbass & Muldrf. There are also numerous ships by Rudianos with UU specific alterations for balance, visuals and effects. Additional texture work by Gan and Acidfluxxbass on various ships. Great new effects work by Miri as usual. New Destruction Damage work by Gan making it a bad idea to get to close to a dying ship. Gan has also done work on defining the ship Classes AI to better suit the ships. We also have a number of updated and new maps added to the mix. You can see the full readme below. It doesn't mention it but it has the latest LMTools Suite included which is more current than the individual download as of the time of release.

This is an update for UU2.0 and must be installed over it.  Just a note that we missed putting in the readme.  If you currently have the CJG XI Pack installed you MUST ReInstall it AFTER UU2.2 is installed.  If you fail to reinstall it then your game will not load and it will give you a fatal exception error on startup.  Just reinstall the XI Pack (and it's patch) after installing 2.2 and you will be fine.

normal legacy used to start with the access violation error, then i did the fix.....when i installed UU i got the error again, i tried to do the fix for UU and still got the error....mabe i will try to rename the folder for legacy like you said for multiples.... but that will take up lots of space on the HD

To install Multiple Copies of Legacy:

You must start with a Fresh Unmodded Copy of Legacy. Then Copy that "Fresh" Copy to another folder. That's it, it's that simple. You just need that "Fresh" copy to start with.

You can get a Fresh copy when Legacy is already installed by renaming(or deleting) the folder that it was "originally" installed to, then doing a "Repair" install. It will recreate the original folder and reinstall all the files. If you installed to the default "\Star Trek Legacy" folder and want to do a Fresh install, just rename that folder to something else then do the "repair" install and you will have an all new "\Star Trek Legacy" folder.

The alternative is to uninstall all Mods, Uninstall Legacy and delete the "\Star Trek Legacy" folder (that is if you installed to there originally). You must always delete the remaining files in that folder or your won't likely end up with a working copy of legacy when you reinstall. Once you do that the Dvd will install Legacy as if it wasn't there before and give you a fresh unmodded copy.

Once you have your 2+ copies of "Fresh" UnModded Legacy it is time to install the Mods to their respective new folders. Such as "\Star Trek Legacy UU" and "\Star Trek Legacy AM".

Did i nedd to patch the game to 1.2 before installing thee mod
I'll try reinstalling legacy and patching then istalling the mod see if that sorts it out

Hi, i am having some problems with mine, i can't play as vulcan or dominian on skirmish, despite the fact that the options are there.

And also, when i am playing the game and a ship explodes, the game slows down and lags a bit until the epic explosion is over. This is particuallarly annoying on the campaign mission i'm on at the moment where you have to destroy 100s of stellar debris. Is there a way to turn the epic explosions off or make them smaller so the game doesn't lag in my case?

UUTools.exe can change the epic explosions and the playable races. Look on your desktop or Legacy's install path.
