The Ultimate Universe Mod for Star Trek Legacy is a collaboration of many individuals driven to make the best of Star Trek Legacy. While it has been a few years since our UU2.2 release, in honor of the 9th Anniversary of the Release of Star Trek Legacy we are planning a little something. While not on the scale of our previous work, we hope it adds something to the community. As to when, we aren't sure yet but hoping for a December release to be ready to be released on the 9th Anniversary of Star Trek Legacy's release.

Ultimate Universe 2.3 (as we are currently calling it) is still progressing. Initially we weren't counting on a very large release. With some great contributions by Kophjaeger coming in last week, the release has grown greatly. This has the unfortunate side effect of delaying the release due to there being significantly more integration and testing, and putting me onto other duties taking me away from the other content I was preparing for release.

I think in the end anyone who plays the new release will consider it well worth the delay. It's been years since our last release and this one is shaping up to likely be our second biggest release since UU was introduced (size wise).

As we get a bit further along, I will be posting more detail on expected content. Right now it is a bit to early to detail what we will be including, but here is a picture of one of the ships expected to make an appearance.

We will also be integrating the XI Pack release into this build. There are some expected changes to the original XI release content including a notable model change.

As to "When are you releasing the update?", that will be followed by our normal, "When it is ready." response. I can't give you more than that at this time. There is a lot of work and time involved in making sure that we release the best quality content that we can. Things are progressing well, and I'm really looking forward to what this release is shaping up to be.

Hey Guys Me Again.

Had a few more ideas for the next update, if your doing one.

1. Multi Themes - Choose a theme for the menu scheme i.e federation, klingon, borg ete

2. New explore modes for different races, rather than just Federation.

3. Colours Schemes for ships to add an extra feel as your own starship.

4. Starbase Defence Mode - Select a starbase, up to 4 ships and take control of a starbase and defend the hell outta it.

5. Could you add a epic battle. USS Enterprise vs The Planet Killer?

6. Call For Back Up - In other words signal an ally to assist, a new ship will spawn and hey presto back up.

7. Saucer Separation - Just for extra kicks and geekness lol

8. Transwarp Wormhole - For all transwarp ships, add the wormhole effect?

Anyway these are just some random ideas, whether you do any or not, the mod is still kickass. Oh i have a data sound files of the federation computer, basically saying all that can go right and wrong with a ship. Let me know if you want them. Laters

Just to say this is an awesome mod. Just what the game should have been when it came out. I love you guys lol. Anyway i have a few bugs i thought you should know. nothing major, just minor things.

1. Some of the new ships think there called enterprise when there not.
2. USS Luna and USS Long Islands aft torpedoes don't fire.
3. USS Akira and The Romulan Warbird are struggling to hold there outer detail.
4. Sometimes the target will lock torpedoes when your not in range.
5. At times target lock will not hold and the ship will just stop.
6. One of the Federation ships thinks its a klingon ship, though i forgot which one. Its one from the UBER Ships.
7. On some ships the phasers will fire, but no phaser will be seen.

Still these are minor and easily fixed, does not alter the fact that i have totally geeked out on this mod. And i am rocking a single core with, but not to worry my new dual core extreme is on the way, so it will perform better. I have some ideas to increase the experience.

1. Fire Modes! Multi Ship phaser Lock, full spread torpedoes and force fire.
2. Alert Status - Normal, yellow and red.
3. Ability to raise and lower shields
4. Auto Battle - Let the your fave starships have it out com vs com
5. Spacedock mission start - fly out spacedock at the start of a mission.
6. Shuttle realise - Fly out of your starship in or out your shuttle to do recon.

Hope these ideas are worth a thought and i hope i have helped. Keep up the good work.

It was a total clean install, no mods added previously, had to reformat PC. No crashes in campain mode, just the other gamemodes had some issues.

Spoiler Alert. I really don't understand why the Federation Council, would authorise, starfleet to capture a borg sphere, and then use it to kill romulans in destroying a starbase, just so the starfleet ships can attack it later and make the romulans think they are alies. This is totally out of character for the Star Trek Universe and a unrealistic plot and more a romulan tatic, unless it was set in the alternate universe which it is not.

Oh crap posted on the wrong mod, as regard the plot issues that was Trek Battles 3, soz! (Still have had issues with game crashes. OS/WXP/32bit Retail version of Legacy, patched upto v1.2 ).

The sounds effects are delayed and don't sync in with the combat action? Nice content, shame about the crashes, dont know if its the mod or my rig?

1. If you had UU2.0 working properly before installing it and had the XI Pack installed as well, you will get a crash message on startup. To correct it you must reinstall the XI Pack. This will fix the crash problem.

2. UU 2.2 Requires a properly installed and working UU2.0 to be installed over. UU2.2 is an Upgrade to UU2.0. It is not a stand alone mod. It is also NOT an upgrade for UU1.0, or UU1.5 and will not work with them.

3. If you had other mods installed with UU2.0 before installing 2.2 any one of them could cause a crash problem. If that's the case, the two suggestions I would have are, first to reinstall them and see if that fixes it, or start over with a fresh install.

To get a fresh install. Rename your existing \Star Trek Legacy\ folder (or delete it). (Uninstalling Legacy and all mods via the Windows Add Remove Programs will NOT give you a clean install unless you rename or delete the remaining files left in the \Star Trek Legacy\ folder.) Next insert the dvd and start the installer, and tell it to Repair your install. This will install a clean unmodded copy of Legacy to the original folder path which is usually "C:\program files\bethesda softworks\star trek legacy\" or "..\program files (x86)\.." if you have a 64bit OS.
Then install UU2.0 Part 1 of 2, then UU2.0 Part 2 of 2, then UU2.2, finally install the UU2.2 Minipatch. If you have a 64bit OS be sure that all of the installers are installed to the proper folder, some of the installers might want to install to "\Program Files\" instead of "\Program Files (x86)\" on a 64bit OS in that case the mod wouldn't work as some of the files are in the wrong folder.

I am unaware of "sound effect sync problems". More details would be needed to figure out exactly what's happening to you when to see if it's a problem that can be reproduced.

There are no known crash issues in UU2.2 when installed properly, other than having to reinstall the XI Pack after installing 2.2 if it was installed previously. Legacy is far from a flawless engine, so crashes are not unheard of. But if a crash is reproducible under specific conditions and not totally random, then we can look into it and see what's causing it. There can be problems with certain ships, certain maps, certain scripts, certain weapons etc which point to problems with those objects that would need corrected.
