We promised it, we're delivering. Wondering what our mappers have been doing all this time? The Trenches is proud to present official media of the reworked TT_0815, TT_Ardennes, and TP_Fromage. Yes, the name is fromage.
0815 you are all familiar with as "that big map". However, while the aesthetic changes may not seem too eye popping, Hawk's put a lot of thought into the rearrangement of the map. Large hills now prevent either side from seeing the other's advance, encouraging more advances through the flanks. No longer will you be sniped from absurd distances while trying to charge no man's land. Also, after some technical debugging, the famous German biplane makes its valiant return!
Fromage was created after requests for an urban style map. This included input from beta testers who liked the pace of the never-released tp_havrincourt by WestconX. Gotrick too popular aspects of urban maps used in other games and gave it a TT-touch, complete with alternate access ways, cellars of houses to hide in, and machine gun emplacements.
Ardenne simulates the trench lines near the Ardenne forest during the winter. We often associate the Ardenne and winter with the famed Battle of the Bulge from World War II, but the woods were home to many other battles. Make sure to pick your targets wisely through the snow, especially if friendly fire is on!
Finally, a long time TT fan, loyal beta tester, and third party mapper Goetliccher Wind has been working on some stuff for TT also, primarily an overhaul of his popular third party map tt_sturm. Originally in a spring/summer and winter version, the new sturm will feature more cover in no man's land to give assaulter's a chance to take out enemy machine guns. Sturm is not pictured here.
