Since a recent update to the Steam version of Amnesia, Steam users need to launch CS mods differently. If you're having difficulties, here's the easiest way to play The Trapdoor via Steam:

  1. In Steam, right click on Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and select Properties.
  2. In the Properties window, click Set Launch Options.
  3. In the Launch Options box, paste in this text: trapdoor\config\main_init.cfg
  4. Hit OK, the close the Properties window.
  5. Launch Amnesia through Steam as normal.
  6. If you want to revert back to vanilla Amnesia, repeat the steps above, leaving the Launch Options text blank.

Well i did all of steps and still, game doesn't run. Crash window appears with a note connected to the file: main_init.cfg. Couldn't initialize it.

I downloaded another mod with same instalation process and it works, so i have no idea what's actually wrong with that one.

Maybe some clues? It may be something wrong with main_init.cfg itself, but i'm not so sure. :d
