The Tower is a Singleplayer mod created by the-middleman(me) There is no story. It is a collection of maps that I have created. Seven playable maps and 3 sequences. The mod is based on Opposing Force. So if you have not played Opposing force you will find some new weapons and enemies. This mod is about action. Straight from the beginning you are thrown into insane battles against the rest of the world. The difficulty level is high. Nothing for beginners. Enjoy and let me know what you think of it! You can download it here(50mb): Just extract the "tower"-folder into your "Half-Life"-folder. Note: This mod does not run on Steam. The Half-Life version 1.1.1.0 is required. Also this mod uses the original Half-Life Soundtrack so I suggest that you have your Half-Life CD in you CD-drive.
For some reason this mod has so much potential for it's story which it has very little. It's all about action but it's level design and atmosphere during those first couple of levels were astounding. It had a feeling where one's fighting a war with consequences, and because of that he is in hell. Prolly the definition of war.
Surprisingly this mod delivers a lot of potential and horror, which can be felt through some of the levels. Overall this mod deserves 8/10. Great job Dev/s
Good mapping and scripting, it's very fun to play. The difficulty is hard, so be careful ;)
The maps are totally different from one another so those looking for a story will be displeased.
However, those looking for well made instant action levels will be begging for more.
The levels are difficult, well detailed and fun. While the last mission has a time limit in place, the time is reasonable so those who struggle with timed levels shouldn't have a problem :)
Is pure Action, TOTAL CARNAGE!!!!
