The Sundering: Rise of the Witch King Soundtrack

The Sundering: Rise of the Witch King is a mod for Medieval 2: Kingdoms and based around the fantasy world of Games Workshop's Warhammer universe during the civil war between the Elves.

The mod's campaign opens with the Death of Bel Shanaar in -2751 IC. It features completely new units never before seen in a Medieval 2: Kingdoms mod, includen noble Griffon Riders, vile Hydras, and even the all powerful Dragon Princes of Caledor. Alongside these mystical creatures will be the Elves themselves, from the lowliest Elven Spear unit to the powerful Phoenix Guard, and from deranged Cultist to the Knights of Anlec.

Also included is a new strategic map of Ulthuan, the homeland of the Elves, including new models for Elven cities, generals, and monuments (such the Shrine of Asuryan). The campaign is an unscripted and epic journey through almost fifty years of the war that shattered the Elves forever, featuring new custom messages to fully immerse the player in the lore and culture of the Elves. Will you lead Nagarythe forward in it's bid to conquer Ulthuan and install Malekith as the new Phoenix King? Or will you lead one of the other nine Elven Kingdoms in their battle to protect their homelands? Or perhaps you will follow neither path and forge a new destiny for your people! The kingdom is yours to command, whether it be rich maritime Eataine or the martial powess of Caledor and its dragons. And while you forge a new empire for your people, you must be wary of the all corrupting influence of the Cults of Pleasure and Excess who would seek to undermine your position, though perhaps the Cults could be used to your own advantage if you play your cards right!

This is the most pivotal moment in Elven History, and one of the most destructive wars that the Warhammer universe has ever witnessed. You are now part of that history! Will you change that history for better or worse? That is for you to decide...

It's fine, you should ask Kolwen for the textures though. PM him. Also, as a warning, messing with the mod files too much will break your game.

Love the mod and it looks amazing!!!just a few questions because I'm new to all of this, why are some of the units(repeater bolt throwers for example) see through/shiny and why are the cultists and nagarothi units so " indestructible " like they have no fear and their moral never gives in or anything even if its like 2 men left against 4 battalions of Dragon princes(cavalry) please help or give advice :)

my issue with the 3 versions of bolt throwers have been that I can't distinguish between them properly, I think the text is the same for at least 2 versions and the shooting is hard to make out whether they shoot single shoot or 6 at a time, it would be awesome if there was a function giving the choice on the kind of shooting wanted on each bolt thrower just like in tabletop.

The repeater bolt throwers are supposed to be a yellowish gold color. See through and shiny isn't good! (This may be due to some corrupt models, if it bothers you greatly then reinstall the mod) And as for the Naggarothi and cultists being unbreakable, this is due to canon fluff, the Cultists didn't fear death. We do want to keep the mod as realistic as possible.

The Empire will be in the upcoming expansion, and as for the crashing, do you have Medieval 2 on Steam or disk?

Alright, is this problem isolated to Chaos only? Or do you get the same problem with cultists and Naggarythe/other elves? And are you using the Kingdoms launcher app? If so then you need to stop using that, since it won't work anymore with the last update, that basically shoved Medieval 2 and Kingdoms in 1 steam launcher.

Then it's corrupt models. Reinstall and it should fix the problem. Failing that, redownload, reinstall, and that should fix your issue.

wow, that is detail. any chance of kislev, nippon and norsca? I know that some fans have made rulebooks for those armies on table top I really recommend them :) then there are more of course, warhammer is quite large.

Aenarion_(jasperz0r) Jan 11 2015 replied:

No Norsca, since the map would be too big. Kislev, maybe. Nippon is impossible without including the whole of the dark lands, Cathay and the mountains of Mourn. Which, again would lead to the "map too big" problem." But since it's pretty much Skaven territory anyway it's more or less included in the Skaven army.

oh yes, skaven and their caves and tunnel systems. i wonder what it would look like to actually take the battle into the rats lair... and also if there are going to possibly be any kinds of invasion risks from anyone or landing attempts from anyone on the good old world lands.

I see yes, if Kislev is there its awesome! ;) I spot a pattern here, is the new world coming after the old world and on until everything is covered... :)

Aenarion_(jasperz0r) Jan 5 2015 replied:

Have you used the torrent file? Or did you download all 4 parts individually? If you downloaded them individually I suggest using the Torrent for all parts (top download from Mediafire) instead. If you have used the Torrent, then this may be a pain, but keep redownloading and reinstalling. Also, running other programs while installing or downloading may corrupt data, so let it download overnight or while you're away for a while instead.

It's the exact same as the original. All files are included in it, only the download won't be corrupt.

Simply use uTorrent.
