THE SUCCESSION WARS MOD IS FINALLY ON MODDB!

Have you ever dreamt about the possibility of merging HMMII and HMMIII? Playing with all of the features of the HMMIII, but with the good old cartoon graphics of HMMII? Meeting heroes, castles, artifacts new to both of the sequels?

We are able to make your dream to come true!
The public beta is available for downloading on our ModDB page.

Because it is already December coming soon, a big lot of various updates have been made to the mod. If you are eager to check out all of them, and willing to help us to improve the game, join the beta testing team to get the latest mod version. The things needed from you will be bug/glitch reporting and, of course, your personal opinion about the mod and its features.

To apply to the testers team, join the Mod Website and send a email message to kivo1991@wp.pl. The testing reports should be written in the related topic on the website forum in an easy understandable, informative form.

MOD TECHNICAL INFO


The Succession Wars Mod uses Heroes of Might and Magic III engine, being a massive ERA-based development. This means that the mod is launchable via ERA Mod Manager for HMMIII and is compatible with most of ERA custom scripts, which can be enabled/disabled by player's decision.

If you are already familiar with ERA, the process will go a bit faster for you. The installation instructions are written in the Download Info on our ModDB page.

The installation process of the latest mod update (Beta Testing Team) does not differ in any way.

Hi.

I read on the HC forums that you plan to drop most of the WoG features and concentrate to the core. May I request that Commanders would be kept? I don't mind stack experience or henchmen getting dropped (they were mostly bonkers anyway) but the Commander feature was IMO one of the most defining moments of Heroes 3 modding (faithful Heroes 3 implementation of 4's fighter heroes) and it'd be pretty sad to see it gone.

Commanders was a nice feature, yet the whole WoG 3.58f is just a proof of concept rather than an actual holistic and polished design.

We are not going to drop off the Commanders or Stack Experience in future, but currently we concentrate on the classic game aspects (because the classics must be worked out first). I even don't think we will make the WoG options available in the next release - they contain so many critical bugs that they must be blocked until we get back to them.
