The Stanley Parable v1.4 for Mac OSX
Jan 17, 2012 Full Version 15 commentsThis download conveniently installs and launches the Mac OSX version of the Stanley Parable v1.4. Half Life 2 is still required.
The Stanley Parable is an experimental narrative-driven first person game. It is an exploration of choice, freedom, storytelling and reality, all examined through the lens of what it means to play a video game.
You will make a choice that does not matter
You will follow a story that has no end
You will play a game you cannot win
...it's actually best if you don't know anything about it before you play it :D
TSP does not actually require Half Life 2 on PC, only the Source SDK which should download automatically when you start the game. On Mac, HL2 is required.

I'm very proud to announce the Stanley Parable Helpful Development Showcase! The TSPHDS is our way of connecting you to the development of The Stanley Parable by giving you a small look at
what's been going on behind the scenes. Each week we'll give you a tiny peek into what it takes to make a game like The Stanley Parable, the creative challenges we come up against in the course of
development, and how to not judge yourself as a person for the quality of choices you've made in your own life. These are just a few of the topics we'll cover in this incredibly useful blog
series.
Already the first three episodes have gone live:
All further installments will be at our blog, Galactic Cafe. We intend to keep posting these until the launch of the Stanley Parable: HD Remix, or until I burn out, whichever comes first! Thank you everyone for continuing to support the game, I hope this can be an
expression of our massive gratitude toward our fanbase!

it seems that i am the only one who doesn't like this map, (it's not a mod). I played both endings, and also did take the right door in the middle of the map, and again both options that are given there. So, i played it fully through. When i first read a lot of comments and reviews about this single small map i was really interested to see what people where talking about. What was it that made them all give this map a rating of nines and tens (9/10). But ones i played it i thought i missed something…

so on the ending where you engage the generator, do the buttons actually do something? if so, what is the button sequence?
Seriously guys, Moddb has a better community than this, I've been with Moddb for the longest time now and helping people understand the requirements for a mod is very common(nothing new since the genesis of this site).
Just because you understand something that might seem like common knowledge doesn't mean you need to make others feel unwelcome and stupid. Grow some mature balls and help the people here... or just ignore them. If you don't have any thing nice to say, don't say it at all. I absolutely HATE to see this community act like they're better than anyone else, Moddb members are better than this.
Nobody with an semblance of a life gives a flying **** if the people playing this watch Pewdiepie or not. It's the whole 'real fans [enter dumb pre-requisite here]' that's been repeated over and over again. It's so pointless. Let people enjoy what they wish (so long as it's not, say, cannibalism). If they found it through PDP then so be it. If they found it from some other source, that's cool too. It's not like people have some sort of good video game homing device that leads them to quality works such as this one. I personally think this mod deserves all the attention it can get, no matter where the fans end up coming from. Have fun gaming friends.
well said. very well said. thank God there are level-headed people like you on Moddb
I don't really mind them, but I just wish they could go through here silently to download the game instead of stopping by to [Insert pointless and badly spelled comment here] or [insert stupid question here] because they couldn't read the damn README.
Because that's a trait that is only found in the pewdiepie watcher, right?
Oh gosh pewdiepie fanboys are slobbering over this now? :(
Awesome game. you can watch my playthrough here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J39hLIDzUp8&list=PLwVzNFveDQsAxajaXJC7O0-Y-kLhXNipm
Lol at all the comments.
@Spe¢ter Well since there is no health bar, Noclip comes to mind. (If you ask about the technical aspect, then google is your friend.)
I seen some games and mods have these little fun anti-cheat things implemented or easter eggs when you use them, so I would love it too if the remake will have some of these.
