The Stanley Parable is an experimental narrative-driven first person game. It is an exploration of choice, freedom, storytelling and reality, all examined through the lens of what it means to play a video game.

You will make a choice that does not matter

You will follow a story that has no end

You will play a game you cannot win's actually best if you don't know anything about it before you play it :D

TSP does not actually require Half Life 2 on PC, only the Source SDK which should download automatically when you start the game. On Mac, HL2 is required.

What is new or different about the standalone? I just want to know otherwise there seems to be no point in buying it after having already played the mod

The HD one is different to this one in many ways, but it's also similar too. But mainly different.

And why is that? Because you think i would try to pirate the game?

I would have really bought it if i actually have money, or a credit card, or even a job it makes any sense to you.

Saving money from my parents is a waste, since i won't be able to spend it here, since, no credit cards.

Credit cards in my country costs a lot more than some of the payed games here combined.

1 $ here equals Rp. +10.000 in my country, which is saying a lot since i only got Rp. +2.000 a day to save, which means i would have to wait 3 months or so to have the money, not to mention if i need a credit card, which also costs a lot and needs me to be atleast +21 years old with a stable income of about $100, or in my country would mean about Rp. 1.000.000, which is simply too much.

Why don't you think of the condition of the people saying these kinds of stuff before saying or indicating that i'm a worthless pirate.
Besides, i've made mods before, i know the effort and pain those guys have gone through, i still respect their work, do you see me begging, no.

It's a standalone. Plus they have permission by Valve to sell it for money, pretty much they bought the Source Engine Licence

I purchased and played the new Stanley Parable yesterday.

I think I got most of the endings. There were only a few more apart from the original that I found, even after spending all day on it. It's very interesting, but $12 seems like a lot to ask for what the game offers. I had higher expectations. Maybe it's because I was desensitized to some dialogue after remembering it from the original Stanley Parable. I wish I could find more endings because I feel like I'm missing so much. It looks like there's a lot there, a lot everywhere, when most of the time there's nothing important there. So many buttons and props that have nothing to do with the story but are there to troll you. I did that input puzzle until I reached the buttons room and I still don't know what that's all about. And I wish there was at least some filtering on the shadows so they wouldn't have such jagged edges. But overall, this is a pretty cool game.

Did you unplug the phone? Did you jump off the lift? Did you do all the other 50 things you could in the game??

it seems that i am the only one who doesn't like this map, (it's not a mod). I played both endings, and also did take the right door in the middle of the map, and again both options that are given there. So, i played it fully through. When i first read a lot of comments and reviews about this single small map i was really interested to see what people where talking about. What was it that made them all give this map a rating of nines and tens (9/10). But ones i played it i thought i missed something…
