TSLRCM tries to fix to the best of our abilities the issues The Sith Lords had due to being rushed. Containing a host of restored content and fixes many bugs left inside TSL giving you the most polished and best possible chance to get the full experience.
To be honest, I never played either of the kotor games when they came out. Or many other games, for that matter.
So when I heard about kotor I earlier this year, I played it and frankly decided that it was one of the best rpg's I'd ever played.
Eager for more greatness, I performed some internet research and learned not only of the sequel, but this imminent release of this mod. And so I bought kotor II and left the case sealed in anticipation of TSLRCM releasing.
And hell, did it deliver. After finishing KotORII, I have to say that it is not as good as KotOR I. But it is a good game. And I think the key word here for KotOR II is: intriguing.
Even having not played the unfinished version, I found that I could easily spot the excellent restored content, not from reading about it online, but instead by how much better some of it was over the original content. Camera work is a particular highlight; enjoy some of the dramatic, satisfying swings during momentuous moments, in addition to the obvious plot holes filled in by the mod.
There's really nothing bad to say about it. No bugs, no drop in quality. I can only say good things about this mod.
You'll seldom see such dedication in a mod. Lots of work went into this and it shows. I've played earlier versions of a different "Restored Content Mod" and it was very broken and unfun. I've played roughly 14 hours of the game with this mod and I haven't had any issues at all. All of the restored content is great to see all of these years after I first played The Sith Lords.
Absolutely great restoration project. I never finished the original game the first time I played, because there were many inconsistencies and I didn't manage to understand some elements of the plot. With the restored content everything was properly presented, and the whole story can be better understood at last.
I can't even understand why all those little pieces of dialogue and even whole planets weren't included in the original release... this mod is essential for anyone who wants to know KOTOR II as it was supposed to be.
