The usual response to complains about TSLRP was that people should make their own mod, then they could complain. 2 modders, Stoney and Zbyl2 (with help from Jinger and a few others), did.

TSLRCM was first released to the public on 24 september 2009. The release was version 1.4 and was labeled as a public beta, being a playable mod with few to no game breaking bugs. 1.4 was improved by patches 1.4a, 1.4b, 1.4c, and 1.4d. At this point, animator Savvy30039 decided to contribute her lean animation to the restoration, which was included in 1.4d.

On 15 march 2010 was the release of TSLRCM 1.5. A patch to the mod, 1.5a, was released shortly after to resolve some remaining bugs.

Between 1.5 and 1.6 the development team was strengthened by Hassat Hunter (previously testing) and Varsity Puppet (previously some minor tweaks, now HK-Factory, Peragus and other).

On June 24th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.6 was released, featuring various cutscene tweaks, dialog bug fixes and more.

On October 16th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.7 was released, which features additional bug-fixes and other additions such as: the Visas-Nihilus movie using the in-game engine to play (rather than a pre-rendered BIK movie), Kreia's Battle for Telos Mod integrated into the mod, the low-res BIK movies of the Dantooine battle replaced with in- game ones, and an improved dialog.tlk mod integrated/improved upon (for the English version.)

Almost a year has passed, but work still continued on 1.8, which is the biggest TSLRCM release yet. It has been released on 24 july 2012.

On 28 december 2012, after a long period of development, finally M4-78EP saw the light, adding a full grand planet to explore and experience more KOTOR2 gameplay in, and actually talk with Vash alive, explaining some critical details about force bonds to the player, meanwhile uncovering the events which took place just before the Exile's arrival.

The most current versions are TSLRCM 1.8.3, and M4-78EP 1.1 ("patched"), both released 15 March 2014.

First off all, welcome! Always good to see people re-playing KOTOR2, or even playing it for the very first time. As the GOG-version is just released, we don't quite know what changes have been made to the executable. Hopefully we'll soon have some sight on that. TSLRCM *should* be completely compatible. Having said that, an update was in the works, pretty much finilised a few days ago and waiting for installer compilation by Zbyl2. We weren't aware of any imminent releases, so this is a fairly nice co-incidence. However, as the update isn't finished yet, we please advise new gamers to wait a few days till the updated version is released, considering it will be a new installer again, and will function the same, overwriting files, which can cause issues with previous other installed mods (hence install TSLRCM first on a clean install!). Here's the change-log incase you really want to play now with your new game (we understand), but seeing how clearly many GOG-players found us here I believe this warning is in place to prevent people to having to re-download over 100MB very soon again.
(Note; since it was made before the GOG-version the GOG-version will not be acknowledged in the readme, check carefully for install locations!)

* Added proper camerapoints to modified tutorial dialogues.
* Improved Azkul-Merc conversation after invading Khoonda (Merc side) (by danil-ch)
* You will now start with Force Breath active upon learning it in the JJT/fixed flourish animation (by danil-ch)
* Savegames made during the Atton vs. Sion confrontation on Malachor will no longer crash on loading.
* Added missing lightsaber equipped fix (by danil-ch) that made the game also check the off-hand for a lightsaber and detect it.
* Modified Mira technique teaching slightly.


* Fixed issue where "Data Transfer" could not be completed if acquired after meeting Kaah, but before visiting M4-78EP, or if you triggered the 'hidden' ending.
* After starting the 'Thrash' goal with IS-43 you can ask him again what you're supposed to do now, in case one might forget.
* Corrected wrong class-check in Black Market Droid conversation that could break the convo.
* Improved Telos Droid Assistance cutscene.
* Added VO that was missing from the installer.

Install instructions
* There are only full installs of both TSLRCM 1.8.3 and M4-78EP (patched).
* Re-install The Sith Lords, taking care to remove all traces of old installs (removing override, modules folder etc.). You can keep your saves if they're made with 1.8.2 though.
* Install TSLRCM 1.8.3 following the instructions from the readme (seen down below as well).
* Install M4-78EP (patched) if so desired.
* Install any compatible mods at this stage.
* Happy gaming!

Also note that it seems one of the mirrors here seems to have issues with spaces or the .'s in the filename. If your download has a strange extension (like [1]) just rename it to .exe to make it working. Alternatively; use a different mirror (like our deadlystream site). Not quite sure why this happens sometimes, but so you know what's going on...

2. Installation:
1. If you're using an older version of TSLRCM (1.8 or lower), a game re-install is required before applying 1.8.3.
(Steam users, skip to point 4)
2. After re-installing it's advised to apply the official patch (1.0b). Non-US versions require you to install 1.0a first, then 1.0b, US versions can install 1.0b right away. Make sure to apply the patch that fits your version. Also, after installing 1.8.3, the official patch can no longer be installed!
3. If desired, apply the high quality music and/or movie patches
4. Install 1.8.3
We've had several users on Vista mention that instead of Program files (x86) it would point to Program Files/Program Files, causing the installation to fail. Make sure the installer points to the proper location of your KOTOR2 installation.

5. To check if the installation has succeeded, try launching KOTOR2:TSL. If at the main menu it says "Restored Content Modification 1.8.3" on the screen the installation has been successful.
6. While we try our best to make this mod as bug-free as possible, with the many options of KOTOR2 and our small testing team bugs, critical ones, sometimes make it through. We will fix them, so check our site for any potential updates and patches. We would rather not have people play unpatched and then experience issues like the black screen (1.7) or red eclipse (1.6)!
7. Install any TSLRCM-compatible mods you desire now. If you're unsure if a mod you want is compatible, check our list at our forums, or section 6 - Mod compatibility in this readme.

* Saves from version 1.7 "should" work after installing version 1.8.3 but It is still suggested to start new game. Saves from 1.8 and above can savely be used, although some fixes may not take effect.
A fresh new game is always the best option for the least amount of issues.

I have a problem, when leaving the Telos academy it shows all cutscenes and dialogs fine, but when all that ends there is only my cursor and the screen it´s black, i can go through all the menus, i tried to sabe and reload but when reloading the loading bar stops at a quarter and doesn´t move, the savegame screenshot shows im in the ship but nothing i can do to continue, i´m using the latest update.

I wasn't certain if you were asking about cheating within the game (which I didn't do either) or cheating in the fight itself. And then there's the fact that some consider in-combat saves cheating as well.

That's... rather counter-intuitive. Still, not as bad as having to replay the whole of Peragus and Telos; I think I have a save from the beginning of the Academy.
Still, I was halfway through Dantooine when I figured these problems were more than glitches.

I'd appreciate it if you let me know whether everything works for you once you replay that part. It's midnight here and I'm not going to play just now. ;)

I replayed Telos Academy, fighting the Handmaiden Sisters alone. Bao-Dur now does talk to me, but even though I've managed to gain enough influence with Handmaiden for her to tell me about her father and about Atris, I still haven't been able to find the conversation option that would let me spar with her. I can only suggest her to play pazaak with Atton.
I'm level 12, and the info I've been able to find only says I need to be at least level 10 to spar with her. Do I need to level her from level 6 to level 10 as well? Is there something else I need to do? Or is this another bug?

So. I completed the game once with a female character. All good, except I never did find the additional planet (there was the robot factory on Telos, though).
However, I restarted the game as a male character, and problems abound. As soon as Handmaiden joins, the game is broken in a number of small ways. There is no dialogue option that would trigger training with Handmaiden. Bao-Dur will not talk to me while in the Ebon Hawk; I can only initiate conversation if he is in my party and I use him to start the conversation with my character; becoming a Jedi Master gave me access to Weapon Specialization: Lightsaber, reserved for Jedi Guardians (it says so right in the description).
What do I do?

Handmaiden battle;
Once you re-enter the Hawk on your first planet, it will appear.
This was to prevent the infinite fight if you did it in Hyperspace right after Telos.

Bao-Dur issue, see Torky's issue.

Jedi Master is a prestige class, they also have that skill, nothing wrong there.

TSLRCM is fantastic, but the M-4-78 mod is an abomination. TSLRCM deserves a 10 with the restored content that, aside from the Jedi Padawan voice-over, is flawless. On the other hand M4-78 is like the undead - killed by Obsidian, resurrected by the TSLRCM team, but just stumbles along with no coherance trying to eat the players brain. The voice-overs are cringe worthy, the gameplay is incredibly boring, and the journal system is inadequate - most of the time I had no idea what I was supposed to…
