So I got the FAC of the Guardian working, its basically a re skinned version of the eclipse's superlaser. So I wanted to tell you guys that despite telling you I would get it working and then not posting a picture of it in work soon after that, it is indeed working...
Fordo, Didn't we agreed that the FAC will be nose mounted weapon? As it will fire only forward?

That's the problem, no HP in nose, and no way to make it fire only forward, its a minor compromise...
Might not be all that bad, actually. It could probably be worked like the YAL-1 laser. Though, I don't have enough of a background in particle physics to actually be an authority on the matter but this is still the Star Wars universe we're talking about.
The thing is, the FAC is actually part of the Star Wars canon and has a distinct look: Youtube.com wait till 0:48.
Although, given it size, it can be mounted on capital ship turrets.
They have the same gun in Strategic Improvement. Maybe it is worth a look how they implemeneted it into the game

Have you thought of just using a mass driver round but just changing its property's, like making it larger and do more damage then attaching its firing to an ability button?
