This is really really good! The models and animations are on-par with or better than any AAA game out there. The reload animation is a bit stylized but it's fitting for a random survivor.

I think it'll take a bit getting used to having to aim before firing but I can imagine it working well.

LOL at the people complaining about the Beretta firing sound.
I read teh comments first thinking the beretta sounded like a cap gun.
These guy's don't know what they're talking about.
The Beretta sounds spot on.
And the animations are the sex especially the recoil animations. Those look absolutely realistic.
Excellent work CANNOT WAIT FOR RELEASE!!!

Gotta say that looks great. The animations are well done, both on the weapon and hands, and both looks sharp and excellent as well.
There isnt a HD version is it? Would be easier to look at.

Wow, the sounds are pretty dead on, if you think out the hollywood esque vibe from the recoil of the slide (?) I keep hearing.

Though I think the reload animation is kind of awkward, they just told us to pull the slide release instead of cocking backward if the slide is stuck in it's backward position... can prevent a couple of injuries due to haste and stuff...
Besides, it looks too ' pimp '

I mean, you -are- survivors of this... apocalypse, and what not, you'll probably be thinking more about functionallity and speed rather than style, wouldn't you agree?

Concidering that, I know very few people that wield their handgun that way when they sprint, not only is it clumsy but... well... just try it out and see if you'll reconcider the sprint bobbing animation...

Weapon reload speed is just fine. In a real life scenario, it wouldn't take much longer or faster than how it is now...though once he releases the slide forward, it would make more sense for him to quickly go back to raising it again instead of waiting that short moment.

The sound? Spot on. Anyone thinking it's too weak is a big silly-willy.

As an avid fan of ironsights, I like the idea of only being able to fire while aiming down the sights; however, to fill the gap between "moving at a normal speed or sprinting & not being able to fire" vs. "moving slowly and being able to fire," you could maybe add something similar to Resistance and Liberation, where they have two ironsights settings - one sort of 'free-hand', where the player could still move a decent amount faster than his speed when aiming, and the other more defined, where you move slowest (like what was shown in the video).

Maybe my two suggestions above aren't your favorite; and don't get me wrong, I realize these are supposed to be a ragtag group of everyday-people turned survivors (I love these types of scenarios after all), but these are still human beings, and at least semi-battle-hardened ones- their minds would still have a pretty good idea of what kind of danger they're in and what the best course of reaction would be.

And, since the necro's are mainly going to be close-combat and ambush kind of play-style (I'm assuming), their reactions to situations are largely going to be based on speed and being able to defend themselves while keeping mobile (since I doubt staying still and camping is something they'd want to do for very long).

Overall point: as far as moving, aiming, and firing goes, perhaps there should be a middle ground without making things ridiculous/ unrealistic.

The ironsights walking speed is only like 30% slower than the default walking speed. So it's not like you are "stuck" in place when shooting. You can back peddle, it's just not very fast. Which, in my opinion, adds to the tension. Do you sacrifice movement speed to shoot? Or run away and not fight back?

I realize that. But, while I'm a fan of realism, absolutes aren't all that fun. They might make more sense in tactical-realism FPS's (you know...the ones where your enemy has guns too?), but not as much in a situation where your opponent is trying to chase after you and claw your eyeballs out. In all fairness though, he's not moving and aiming at the same time too much in the video, so it's hard to gauge how slow you'll really be while using ironsights.

Wow... this is truly amazing! Keep up the good work! :D oh and I also love how realistic the reloading animation is. One thing many new gun handlers forget is to make sure your fingers don't get caught in the slide, and the animation is perfect for that. Once again, great job guys!

That Beretta model is definitely an improvement.
So are the sounds.

But the reload animation speed doesn't seem to show any sense of urgency. In my opinion, I think it should be a tad more faster than that.

It shouldn't take that long to pull out a magazine, especially if you're fighting those scary mother *******.

The speed just feels too casual.

Great ironsight shooting animation though. You can feel every punch.

I also love the small details, such as the breathing-in entering ironsight.

This looks really solid, but why would the slide on the pistol go back if the whole magazine isn't spent? If he didn't use all his bullets, he should only have to replace the magazine, not rack the slide at all.

Man, the animation is pretty realistic, but the sharp sound of the gun that made me really shiver. It sounded so realistic that I was actually scared a bit when it was shot :) It felt like it was me holding that gun.
