Make the map held by the arms instead of being on the HUD. Or IF it's on the HUD make it a digital map with the map colored the same as the other HUD elements. Very nice, though

I second this comment - It adds a lot to the atmosphere that a map isn't just a HUD thrown in your head, but an actual object held in your hand.

it should look a lil more tattered, the most valued thing on ships when pirates would board them where most often maps for navigation. so they would probably be old and tattered, so the same concept would be cool here also. (yea for history channel :P)

Definitely a sexy-looking map :) the paperclip'd notes, coffee stain, fold marks, and handwritten bits do well to spice things up and make the map feel more like it's been used by someone for a while...though I agree with Dexter, just a bit more "worn" of a look to it would be perfect
