I think we're going with a mix between WW1-WW2 - drawing inspiration from both wars. For example we'll be seeing World War I aspects such as cavalry and sabres, but also World War II aspects such as more modern uniforms and a wider variety of guns.
That sounds great! In my opinion a drift towards more early WW1 type stuff is preferable as I think the inclusion of too many "modern" assets will sacrifice balance and/or realism significantly. But everyone has their own taste and I'm very confident in your amazing work!
Actually a more WW2 gameplay with WW1 style uniforms would be more suitable for the Inter-War period
