·The: definite article.
before a consonant;
before a vowel or video game mod.
1: Denote particular, specified persons or things.
2: Indicates uniqueness or individuality.
3: Used before a noun, and generally stressed, to emphasize one of a group or type as the most outstanding or prominent.
·The Red Alert: The original, the only, the true; The Red Alert.
The Red Alert, under development by the mod team of C&C Labs, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The Red Alert, a mod in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. With The Red Alert, epic tank battles, MiG attack runs, and Cruiser strikes will be more than just fond memories — they will all be weapons in your arsenal once again!

This is more of a mini-release than a true media release as I don't have much to show this time around. The focus of this release is all about submarines. All two of them. So enjoy the pretty pictures and hopefully next time there will be more to show.
With that out of the way. You'd probably like to know what the mod team has been up to. As stated in our last update, the focus of CnC Labs is mostly on CnC: The Forgotten at the moment, and I expect you'll quite enjoy the next update when it comes out. But fear not, this mod ain't dead yet and won't be any time soon. In fact, we will most assuredly release both this mod and The Forgotten eventually; we don't let our mods die, here.
On a somewhat related note, for any aspiring RA3 modders out there, as well as modders who wish to see how the collapse models for this mod are made, I have made a tutorial for Red Alert 3 on how to create collapse models, complete with a MaxScript I wrote myself to make the process go much quicker. You can find the tutorial here, at the CnC Labs website. The tutorial uses the Missile Sub, featured in this update, as the subject. There are also three exclusive screen shots there of the poor Missile Sub blown to pieces.
That's all for now. I can't make any promises when the next update will be, but I do expect you'll see some more sea-going vessels in it.... C'ya'll next time!

this looks great! Will you also be recreating the original campaign from RA1?
@xonone
If there isn't, ill mute the game music and play the RA1 music in the background (With Media Player). :D
I didn't think it was possible to make RA3 NOT look like an insult to the other RAs.
Great work!
What do you mean? Evolution is evolution. New is new. You should stay in kindergarten if you don't like changes... and changers. And the changed.
And modding is about changing and creating something additional beyond the original one. And this mod is awesome... and original RA3 is awesome too.
Despite the ANTIFANS insulting EALA just because they're EALA. So stop flaming the original RA3.
Sorry to others for the message. I simply don't like "fans" ignorance and senseless insulting EA.
It has nothing to do with EA. In my honest opinion, Red Alert 3 is not as good as RA2 or 1, and this is mainly attributed to it's overall style.
Yes, Red Alert 2 was cartoony as well, BUT they at least presented it in a way that made it all somewhat believable, and that was what made it such a great game.
Red Alert 3 is a joke, and everyone knows it's a joke. They replaced the excellent female roles of the previous installations with complete sluts, and introduced the some of the most ridiculous units I've ever seen in an RTS. (Yes a mind controlled squid is weird, but again, it's the way it was all presented that mattered). I found myself saying "What the hell?" while playing RA3 more than in any other Command & Conquer game to date.
I could continue about how they've destroyed any defensive thinking invovled by gearing the game towards rushers, or how they've basically demolished any tactical advantage that comes from having a powerful Navy, but I'll just end it here.
great models!!!
how is the ore field system coding working out?
Poorly.
i got a question, will there be RA1 music in the game?
Probably not. EA didn't implement any means to allow us to add music.
Yeah, has total amazing awesomeness inspiring stunning awe. x-D So many good units from the old RA1 corrected right and fitted in RA3. :-)
Good luck! :-D
