The Red Alert, under development by the mod team of C&C Labs, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The mod, in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. With The Red Alert, epic tank battles, MiG attack runs, and Cruiser strikes will be more than just fond memories — they will all be weapons in your arsenal once again! It was released on September 21, 2011 and was ranked the number one mod on Moddb and critically acclaimed on other sites, with GameSpy calling it "A Command and Conquer fan's dream come true."

They decided not to because they felt that it would take a lot of time to do so, and thus, they just left campaign untounched

Question! Are there supposed to be support powers in the game? Moreover, I noticed that the AI no longer expands its bases across the map. They also don't use Tesla and Chrono Tanks. Can anyone shed light on my questions?

Only Russia has support powers ( paradrop, parabombs, spyplane )

I noticed that the AI no longer expands its bases across the map The AI still uses expansion bases, but in a different way. Expansion code is very difficult to use with the new oresystem. I tuned it down a bit in v1.2 to prevent the AI to invest all it's money on expansions.

They also don't use Tesla and Chrono Tanks

also a side not is that i remember the cruiser having 4 guns 2 front 2 back. but a funny note about the cruiser for this mod is that if it maintains fire it capsizes and rolls in place and if destroyed surviving crew are at the bottom of the ocean

i must say c&c labs have done it again! incredible mod guys. i loved the forgotten and was blown away by this. i just wished u guys also did a "the red alert 2" for ra2 fans like me. also if u guys helped out other modders on this site who cannot finish their mods but have incredible work so far *cough project X cough* cough*

yeah that i checked out but its literally nothing, like no buildings, no vehicles, just civilian structures and some ground textures from red alert 2

From what I've checked, mostly everything except base buildings and infantry are done.

Alright, so I had at a it a bit, and here's my tentative opinion. First of all, the number one thing hurting this mod is lack of coherency. When I started a game on Pier Pressure, I had my large, smooth-looking conyard right next to an original RA3 structure. It was extremely jarring. Second, many units feel underdesigned and bland.
