The Red Alert, under development by the mod team of C&C Labs, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The mod, in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. With The Red Alert, epic tank battles, MiG attack runs, and Cruiser strikes will be more than just fond memories — they will all be weapons in your arsenal once again! More than eighteen months after its release, The Red Alert mod is still alive and kicking, and more than 17 years after release, the classic Red Alert 1 game is fresher than ever. Whether you played the original game, are just a fan of the mod, or are new entirely, this release has something for you, with a host of gameplay enhancements, AI improvements, and bug fixes. In particular, we'd like to thank ZeroMD for doing so much to make it possible.

Question! Are there supposed to be support powers in the game? Moreover, I noticed that the AI no longer expands its bases across the map. They also don't use Tesla and Chrono Tanks. Can anyone shed light on my questions?

Only Russia has support powers ( paradrop, parabombs, spyplane )

I noticed that the AI no longer expands its bases across the map The AI still uses expansion bases, but in a different way. Expansion code is very difficult to use with the new oresystem. I tuned it down a bit in v1.2 to prevent the AI to invest all it's money on expansions.

They also don't use Tesla and Chrono Tanks
The AI still uses Tesla and Chrono Tanks, but not as much as before v1.2

also a side not is that i remember the cruiser having 4 guns 2 front 2 back. but a funny note about the cruiser for this mod is that if it maintains fire it capsizes and rolls in place and if destroyed surviving crew are at the bottom of the ocean

yeah that i checked out but its literally nothing, like no buildings, no vehicles, just civilian structures and some ground textures from red alert 2

Alright, so I had at a it a bit, and here's my tentative opinion. First of all, the number one thing hurting this mod is lack of coherency. When I started a game on Pier Pressure, I had my large, smooth-looking conyard right next to an original RA3 structure. It was extremely jarring. Second, many units feel underdesigned and bland.
