·The: definite article.
before a consonant;
before a vowel or video game mod.
1: Denote particular, specified persons or things.
2: Indicates uniqueness or individuality.
3: Used before a noun, and generally stressed, to emphasize one of a group or type as the most outstanding or prominent.
·The Red Alert: The original, the only, the true; The Red Alert.
The Red Alert, under development by the mod team of C&C Labs, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The Red Alert, a mod in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. With The Red Alert, epic tank battles, MiG attack runs, and Cruiser strikes will be more than just fond memories — they will all be weapons in your arsenal once again!

This release isn't as big as I was hoping it would be as most of the updates this month are behind the scenes, but that doesn't mean we don't have some pictures to show. I've finally gotten around to putting the Ore Refinery in the game, which I was procrastinating due to not knowing how the ore system is going to be handled. I still don't know, but I realized it wouldn't matter in the end. Also, despite what I may have said earlier, we are going to have the different countries in the game with their respective minor attribute bonuses; this is due to the fact that it doesn't seem to be possible, at all, to remove Japan thus giving us only two faction, so instead we added some. Anyways, pictures:
Of course, there are more in the images section. I also want to once again assure everyone that both this mod and The Forgotten CnC: The Forgotten are chugging along. Hopefully, both will be ready for release sometime next year. Well, there's nothing else to report, so I'll see you next month.

I don't think this mod is going far enough. You should remove camera rotation, building rotation, and lock the default resolution to 600x800.
be sure to release alphas, etc as soon as you have 10+ units changed, hehe
thanks, can't wait to see this mod out, please don't kill it
When this comes out i will start to play RED ALERT 3 again.
I gotta ask because Im curious: why are you pretty much doing one model and then cloning it for use by both Soviets and Allies? I understand that this is recreating Red Alert, but still.. the thing that bugged me the most when I played it years ago is that the models and buildings often looked the same. But then again, that's just me. ^^
Well, both sides will get the same model for certain structures because that's the way it was in the original. However, there will be subtle differences, usually in the texture, between the Allied and Soviet versions of these structures.
the map editor for RA3 is out, but i don't now about the SDK, but the map editor! you want a link? or do you already have?
Great work guys, everything looks amazing. Your mod may be what leads me to buying RA3. Here's hoping that the SDK Comes out as soon as possible so you can get some real in-game material done.
the sdk comes out sometime this month
As stated in one of the news posts, there won't be any more updates until the release of the RA3 Mod SDK, and there certainly CAN'T be any screen shots of anything until the SDK has been released. I've already posted a render of the Chrono Tank and M.A.D. Tank, and the phase tank most likely wont be in this mod unless the CS/AM missions are remade as well.
