The Red Alert, under development by the mod team of C&C Labs, undertakes one of the most ambitious tasks in C&C modding: to recreate and improve upon an original game. The mod, in development for Red Alert 3, is based off the original Red Alert's art and game play. Not aiming to model realism, it instead endeavors to bring the addictive heart-pounding game play of the classic to a world-class 3D engine, to bring back all of the classic units, including those from Aftermath, and to recreate the very "feel" of its art style. More than eighteen months after its release, The Red Alert mod is still alive and kicking, and more than 17 years after release, the classic Red Alert 1 game is fresher than ever. Whether you played the original game, are just a fan of the mod, or are new entirely, this release has something for you, with a host of gameplay enhancements, AI improvements, and bug fixes. In particular, we'd like to thank ZeroMD for doing so much to make it possible.

Wow, this is very impressive, please don't die on us! This is possibly the best Red Alert 3 Mod that could be made, ever. I love Red Alert 1, and Red Alert 3 looks so nice..... great idea guys. I also love how you are keeping to the original look of RA1. A Path Beyond has great 3D graphical representations of RA1, but they are not true to the originals, unlike this mod, which is! Keep up the good work :)

Edit - Will you be including the original soundtrack(s) from RA1, Counterstrike, & Aftermath... If so, message me because I have them all in mp3 format

How close will the damage/speed/armour etc values be to their Red Alert counterparts? Are you going to simply copy them as best you can? Or fiddle with them a little?

I'll start with exact copies, but since the game play wont be exact, the final values will be adjusted according how balanced they are. Therefore, some units may be exact, some my differ a bit. We'll just have to see.

Yes, the Aftermath units will be in the mod, the Phase Tank will most likely NOT be a buildable unit, and Volkov is being strongly considered for replacing Tanya in Soviet skirmish games.

Alright, so I had at a it a bit, and here's my tentative opinion. First of all, the number one thing hurting this mod is lack of coherency. When I started a game on Pier Pressure, I had my large, smooth-looking conyard right next to an original RA3 structure. It was extremely jarring. Second, many units feel underdesigned and bland.
