Yes, I endorse this observation.
Unless a structure's foundation is in an absolutely ruined state, the majority of a structure's vertical sides/supports should be set perpendicular to the surface its on.
In other words, it should be "leveled," and not look like it's crooked.
I'm also assuming that you're either an architect or a civil engineer.
Well you don't have to be a 5 star chef to know that a meal tastes bad. Just like you don't have to be a architect or a civil engineer to know if the house shouldn't be crooked.
