Latest News: Wake up, Neo... There's a new TRW trailer out
3 comments by Maddieman on Oct 6th, 2007 digg this super bookmark Hi there. :) Here's a new trailer for the upcoming Max Payne mod The Real World. It shows footage from the Lobby, Subway, and Street levels, plus a few extras. The video was put together quite quickly, but I hope you like it.
Oh, and before anyone asks, please let me point out that the HUD is placeholder. The brightly coloured health bar is just for testing purposes, and will be replaced with something more appropriate when the time comes. ;) A playable demo can be downloaded from the mod's downloads section, and previous trailers can be found at: Youtube.com Thanks for reading! :)

For MaddieMan because he's an EPIC FAIL.
Keep this board alive cause it's the one bright spot when I'm having a bad day.
I downloaded the demo, and it was awesome. I want to play this!!!!
yeah! me too.. pls release the mod!!!
at lease can you post a new trailer? something?
I have been patiently waiting to re-install Max Payne onto my puter for this mod. The wait is killing me. =/
i hope it will be out before max payne 3.
Skinning is easier...
Kung Fu engine is already made (Ken_Y) for MP so that saves time (Also it is soo good)
Maddieman has already got gibbing sorted as seen in Katana (Although I hope the head skin changing fixed)
I liked MP2's bullet time, made for some very cool gun fights.
Wall bouncing which comes under juggling really.
yea Uh presets are predictable where as ragdolls are not so Kung Fu etc is harder to execute combos plus swords? This was an issue I pondered when thinking about Rogue Ops for MP2. I didn't know how bodies would react or if they could Gib. Wonder if they figured it out before it died..
Stick FX also already there...
Max Payne can run on more peoples computers.
Too late to change now...
Uh there is probably some other unmentioned things that Maddieman might be able to shed some light on
Also, lots of Matrix mods for Max Payne so there is a little competition at times to see which is the best (For the record, it is The Real World =P)
If you want matrix mods for MP2 that aren't up to Maddiemans quality well, I haven't been checking the MP2 mod scene in some time so I can't offer any advice (Reformatted computer and uncle has mp2 disk argh!)
However, I will check and inform you of good Matrix mods for Max Payne 2, I just hope Maddieman doesn't mind me hijacking his mod page for this, hell, he might put his 2 cents in... or whatever currency he uses =P
Totally awesome, can't wait. Keep it up!
I don't know... but Max Payne 1 has a better bullet time i think...
The Real World DEMO FINALLY RELASED!!! :)
uhh the demo has been around for 2 and a half years and as for why Max Payne 1, well... Maddieman has a lot more experience modding on Max Payne than Max Payne 2, Max Payne has pre-set death animations so if you want to juggle and get rewards eg health and bullet time, this can be coded into each juggle where as Max Payne 2 uses Rag Dolls which is harder to code juggle and could end up with strange things like people using kungfu to start a combo then when finished and the body is flying (In unpredictable directions) someone could switch guns to maintain a combo and get bonuses and when a person is dead then someone could go to the body and shoot at it multiple times to get bullet time bonuses. This is why MP2 only gives bullet time when a person is initially killed (Same in MP1)
(Shoot have to make it 2 comments)
