About a month ago, someone under the name "Maddeiman" posted on our board declaring that the mod was dead. It's a pretty cruel joke to play on people, but it was convincing enough that some people fell for it. Unfortunately, I only found out about this just now, and by then the damage was done.
What can I say? First off, obviously, the project isn't dead. Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm too stubborn or stupid to call it quits. Even if I were to quit the project (which I won't), AT THE VERY LEAST I'd release everything created up to this point -- and that's quite a lot. There's no way I'd leave people hanging dry after all this time. Secondly, I want to point out that I'd never make an announcement that important in the general comments page. All major announcements regarding the status of the mod will be posted AS NEWS. Lastly, I have to admit that this guy has done me a favour, by bluntly reminding me that I need to pay more attention to the people waiting for the mod, and spend a bit more time releasing updates.
Unfortunately, finishing a project of this size and scope requires a lot of focus and discipline, which makes it very difficult for me to find the time to post regular updates, let alone make anything more ambitious like a video. Personally, I can't focus on the project if I'm hanging out on the forums talking about it. Yet if I don't do that, stuff like this happens. :-/ It's a bit of a dilemma for me, and clearly I haven't got the balance quite right yet.
Anyway, this is enough of a kick up the arse that I'm going to give some serious thought on how to update the mod more frequently, without interfering with its development.

I agree with Ghost; Maddie has got a life and by all means so should all of you, I doubt TRW is the centre of your universes so perhaps you should focus on something else. Seeing as he's the last left to work on the mod I'd say he's been doing a tremendous job for a FREE product. From what I hear most of the work is in its final stages so perhaps we'll see it soon =) Good luck with the rest of it Maddie

There won't be another demo - the next release will be the final build.
I'd like to thank those that have and continue to stand up for me and the mod. It's not necessary to take flak on my behalf, but nevertheless, your continued support and patience means a lot to me.
Those that want to critise the way I've handled this mod, I share your frustration, and if it helps, by all means get it out of your system (I find punching a wall helps). :)
In either case, please try to keep things in perspective and keep this discussion civil, thanks. :)

While I agree with you, if you're going to swear then what's the point of censoring yourself? Either don't censor, or don't swear.
But yes, you're absolutely right on all counts.
Ghost_ is back, haven't seen a good old rant from you in some time and damn right man. I'm personally so sick of these people critisising Maddieman for what really can be considered, his own PERSONAL PROJECT. If anyone knows the simpliest thing about modding then you know that they can take longer than conventional games to make, mainly because of the smaller team sizes or the fact that one or two people are making it.
Well known fact that people seem to overlook: It is highly unlikely for a Modder to get PAID for his WORK.
However it seems Ghost_ and many others, we must accept and get majorly annoyed so much that we wanna rip someones guts out through their mouth because of Whiners. It seems to be everywhere in the modding society and it is always from people that NEVER CONITRIBUTE TO THE MODDING SCENE.
Fun Fact: Modders and respectable people actually compliment a fellow Modder in order to encourage them to hurry the **** up. Encouragement boosts production times and causes a positive effect that makes the Modder wish to continue their work. Dissing and whining does the OPPOSITE so..... SHUT THE **** UP.
