Given the amount of interest in the last TRW poll over at our levels4you page, I was stuck trying to think of something that would be both useful to me, and interesting for you guys. So I thought I'd try something new. o_O
The basic idea is that you get to vote on what area of TRW you'd like to see next (from a fixed choice), and once the poll is over I'll post screens & media of the most popular item. Then we start all over again, with new items!
Voting doesn't require a registration, or anything like that, so...
So this time around we're looking at the following levels: - The Burly Brawl, Seraph's Teahouse, The Lobby, and the Street Chase (erm, couldn't think of a good name for that last one - it's the chase at the end of the first film). So vote for the level you'd like to see more of, and who knows...you might just get what you ask for. :D
In future it's not going to be limited to just levels. If this takes off, I'll include things like characters, moves, features, etc - anything I can make a decent sized post about.
Suggestions and comments are welcome.
Note: I won't be taking requests -- the choice will always be fixed to those in the poll, and the majority vote wins. Smartass 'I want to see this mod released roflololol' comments will be ignored/deleted.

This is the offical 2005 Kung Fu demo for the Max Payne's most faithful Matrix total conversion "The Real World" (TRW). It showcases the latest Kung Fu...

Red Viper, no, you cannot convert an MP1 mod to an MP2 mod.
When this mod comes out you wont want to be playing neo on the XBOX or PC. This will bring the game to a whole new level of moding - I can already hear the deep breaths from the MP1 players when this comes out...
Sweet Peace. :eyebrow: SuD.T
I heard that it is possible to convert a MP1 mod so that you can play it on MP2. I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer the following:
Is this conversion thing true?
(If yes) How do you do it?
(If yes) Does it work with all MP1 mods.
By the time this mod comes out, we'll already all be playing "The Path of Neo" for Xbox, Ps2 and PC coming holiday 2005. So if youve been waiting your whole life to play as Neo in a PC game, then tell these people to hurry up. If "The Path of Neo" comes out before this or any other Matrix mod on this site, I won't care about stupid little Max Payne mods anymore, cause i'll have already died and gone to gamer heaven.
So, to recap, hurry up with this mod or you'll have made it all for nothing. *Peace*
Ive just tested the demo in the dojo level and WOW what an amazing job they do.The Kung Fu system is awesome, we can do a big amount of very effective combo and they have finish move. man they really make the impossible with the very limited engine of Max Payne .Jesus Christ i cant wait for the complete version, its gonna rock and maybe the best mod i never play in my life.Everyone,go try the demo and you gonna see how this mod is promising.
Parece que se retrasa unp oco el mod , no?? joder , ya hay ganas de jugar con neo y compañia , no se a que viene tanto misterio...¡¡¡¡QUE SALGA YA!!!!
The character models are GREAT though. Absolutely terrific! The first great looking Agent Smith and Neo models. Trinity isn't bad at all, and Morpheus is decent. I also love the new bullet trail effect. Very nice. Once you add those weapons this will be awesome.
P.S. Martial arts look cool EXCEPT that there is all that blood. Looks kind of absurd. The most blood from kung fu in the movies was about a mouthful of it that Neo spat out. In the video I saw Morpheus standing over a pool of blood on the ground in the Dojo map on the trailer and it looks like someone took a shotgun round in the chest in there. Get rid of blood effects for karate.
Just a suggestion from the screens on your site. Tone down the shininess on the Agents' Desert Eagle. In the movies they had a gray gunmetal color that had no reflectiveness at all. Not black and shiny like in your mod
Justice, your post could be read two different ways - I'm not sure where you're coming from. The reason I skirt around the release date is because I get branded a liar if I try to set a date (with good intentions of hitting it), and then it gets missed. I've done that before, and it wasn't a good idea -- safer just to not announce a date, than risk missing one.
Here's your answer though:
Max Payne 2: 30 people working on it full time, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, not counting overtime; plus support from Rockstar and 3d Realms.
Budget - over €10m Euros. Man hours a month: 4800 approx. In 18 months: 86400 hours
TRW - Me working on it, about 8-10 hours a week on a good week. Not to mention running another mod, a forum, a degree, and pursuing other interests.
Budget: zip. Man hours a month: 32 approx. In 18 months: 576
Basically what I can get done in two years is less than half of what Remedy could potentially do in a week*. That's why it's taking so long.
*I say potentially, because in reality it doesn't quite work out like that, because of project dependencies.
I agree.
