Also, are you going to be doing anything about the sounds? I mean Unit sounds. Like the Hoplites are "Tower Guard" Etc Etc

It is one of our priorities to obtain some voice actors to replace these sounds. You are correct that it is almost completely game-breaking to have this wonderful greek mod, but still have Lotr voices. We aim to fix that.

This has been said before. But I think a campaign would be great to add on. Because I do like this mod but I find I end up doing the same thing over again. It may just be me.But adding a campaign would be a great idea if you ask me. Gives it a story, however this being a mod directly linked to a historical event. I should look it up on Wiki or something for a story. If you are swaying towards a campaign, I would say do it last. So you got everything ready for it.

We won't be working on a campaign for a while yet, but our next update (release date to be decided, of course) should contain some more gameplay mechanics and additional interesting maps.

Glaeken Jun 16 2012 replied:

There has been some internal discussion about a campaign but it's not a current priority. Once we have more mod-specific maps included we'll be in a much better position to work on a campaign.
You are correct in that a TPW campaign would follow the historical sequence as closely as possible.

Thanks for keeping The Peloponnesian Wars mod in your gaming schedule! If you get bored, explore Corinth and check out the fountains.

I think two amazing fanctions is enough, and even if you would want to ad a new fanction I would suggest another Polis (Thebe,Corinth...) instead of Persians (wich many people prefer).

If we were to do anything (and this is at least a year away in even starting on it) it would probably be an expansion to the mod, expanding the timeline into the time of Phillip of Macedon's conquests. From there maybe Persia could be brought it, but again, that's hardly a thing at this point in production.

Believe me, Athens and Sparta are going to be plenty enough. They'll have very different play styles and lots of content to explore in both factions.

I wouldn't want to play with Thebe or Corinth. IMO their gameplay and units would be quite similar.

Persians, Lydians,... I'd prefer to play those.

Graphically this mod is really impressive, great models and skins.
The map Corinth also looks very good. Good object placement, nice map props, good texturing.
The background music is also very nice.
