This total-conversion mod takes the Battle for Middle-earth II to the Fifth Century BCE, replacing the original content with two new, fully-fledged factions: Sparta and Athens. Completely new content, strategies and more awaits you. This project is brought to you by Kwen, Matias, Lauri, njm1983, Glaeken and Mike who are hosted at the3rdage.net, a division of revora.net.

Good evening everyone!

This news is not directly related to BFME modding, but it is related to our T3A:Online server, the best way to play BFME online!

Starting today, I'll be hosting a daily game of standard BFME1 (patch 1.05) in the T3A:Online lobby.

I'll be hosting at 22:00 Paris time (click here to see what time that is for you) every day (unless something gets in the way, in which case I'll post about it on Revora).

Come join me!

NOTE: Please make sure you have refreshed your NAT before joining or hosting a game (unless you have followed THORONGIL's instructions regarding port forwarding and options.ini changes, which can be found here: Forums.revora.net)

In case you haven't set up T3A:Online already (shame on you!), read all about restoring BFME multiplayer right here on our website:

Online.the3rdage.net

I hope to see you online. Remember, if my game is full, just start one of your own!

i have little idea...are you able to do something with ring ? i mean to re-texture it to something else, for example - to cup of ambrosia (god's food) and if you bring it to fortress you could summon god Ares for Sparta or goddess Pallas Athena for Athens, but in that case you have to re-texture Galadriel and Sauron

This isn't a mythological mod, so I'm pretty sure we will not be including the gods themselves in any way.

Also, are you going to be doing anything about the sounds? I mean Unit sounds. Like the Hoplites are "Tower Guard" Etc Etc

It is one of our priorities to obtain some voice actors to replace these sounds. You are correct that it is almost completely game-breaking to have this wonderful greek mod, but still have Lotr voices. We aim to fix that.

This has been said before. But I think a campaign would be great to add on. Because I do like this mod but I find I end up doing the same thing over again. It may just be me.But adding a campaign would be a great idea if you ask me. Gives it a story, however this being a mod directly linked to a historical event. I should look it up on Wiki or something for a story. If you are swaying towards a campaign, I would say do it last. So you got everything ready for it.

Regards

We won't be working on a campaign for a while yet, but our next update (release date to be decided, of course) should contain some more gameplay mechanics and additional interesting maps.

There has been some internal discussion about a campaign but it's not a current priority. Once we have more mod-specific maps included we'll be in a much better position to work on a campaign.
You are correct in that a TPW campaign would follow the historical sequence as closely as possible.

Thanks for keeping The Peloponnesian Wars mod in your gaming schedule! If you get bored, explore Corinth and check out the fountains.

Graphically this mod is really impressive, great models and skins.
The map Corinth also looks very good. Good object placement, nice map props, good texturing.
The background music is also very nice.
