Good evening everyone!

This news is not directly related to BFME modding, but it is related to our T3A:Online server, the best way to play BFME online!

Starting today, I'll be hosting a daily game of standard BFME1 (patch 1.05) in the T3A:Online lobby.

I'll be hosting at 22:00 Paris time (click here to see what time that is for you) every day (unless something gets in the way, in which case I'll post about it on Revora).

Come join me!

NOTE: Please make sure you have refreshed your NAT before joining or hosting a game (unless you have followed THORONGIL's instructions regarding port forwarding and options.ini changes, which can be found here:

In case you haven't set up T3A:Online already (shame on you!), read all about restoring BFME multiplayer right here on our website:

I hope to see you online. Remember, if my game is full, just start one of your own!

A few questions:

1) Are you planning to update the 'make a hero' system with the new shields and armors?

2) Will the next version contain naval warfare?

3) Are there any plans to rebuild 'the war of the ring' system to fit within your mod?

4) Are you going to add more siege weapons to the spartan armory (ladders for example)

5) are you going to make city maps in which one team controls the city (like minas tirith, or helmsdeep) and one has to besiege?

That's all for now, good luck with the mod!

You probably haven't installed 1.06 patch for BFME 2.

When The next version is realised, will it be necessary to redownload the entire mod? And does the installement of this mod have problems with other mods installed for BFME 2? I was just wondering... :p

Each version of the mod is easily update-able by running the updater application. It will detect the installed version and automatically download the latest.

The mod is installed in a single contained .big file and run via the -mod command, so any other BFME2 mod (provided it isn't one that alters the game directory) can still be installed and run simply by clicking a different shortcut.

Parts of Laconia, yes. Attica? Perhaps, in the future.

Well, it depends on how you insert the defense system. For example, If you placed an entire batalaion (15 archers) on the wall it would be overpowered. You could of couse only make it possible to place one row of 5 archers on the wall (for one updated wallpiece)

Or (and this is just a theory, that may or may not be impossible to do) or the update itself could be an archersden from which an archer (or more) starts to patrol a piece of the wall or something like that.

It should be me thanking you for not leaving this project to die, but still working on it after all this time. It pleases me that you guys make so much effort to present this time period to a bigger audience.

That's an interesting thought. We could have each wall segment upgradable to contain two or three archers.

I'll bring it up internally, thanks for the great feedback!

Graphically this mod is really impressive, great models and skins.
The map Corinth also looks very good. Good object placement, nice map props, good texturing.
The background music is also very nice.
