Tedrich was not a remarkable boy. In fact by most standards he was rather underwhelming. The only thing that made him truly unique was the horrible dreams that plagued him night after night. Every time he shut his eyes he was faced with the most terrifying events one can imagine. But what makes Tedrich's case particularly interesting is that he could not simply wake up from his nightmares. The only way to escape was to fight his way towards the deepest darkest part of his subconscious and defeat the terrors that make him fear the night.

Its been about a year since I've posted and update. Sadly I can't say that I've gotten much work done on the mod. I was working at Crystal Dynamics for about half that time and I now have a sweet job at Infinity Ward working on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Unfortunately after a full day of doing level design at work, it is hard to find time or motivation to work on my own projects. So until further notice development of The Nightmare Chronicles will be on hiatus. I do have plans to eventually finish the game. It has been a labor of love and I would feel terrible just abandoning the project. Someday Tedrich will be able to fight through his nightmares with you, I just don't know when that will be.
Reminds me of "Nightmare Ned"
Oh damn, the release date has been changed back to TBD from August 2009 :(
Yeah, sorry about that, I lost most of July to teaching a summer camp so hitting an august deadline has become impossible. But I'm now moving back into the full swing of development so expect more stuff more regularly.
The trailer is simply amazing. Looks like the mod will have a very unique feel. Nice work so far.
the best part is that the trailer locks badass and its an old trailer
I love the art direction.
Genial Idea.. Gonna try it
How long will this mod be? How much hours of gameplay; Number of levels, etc.? :)
I'll try and answer this fully in a news post soon. For now, I can tell you that the clown level takes me 25 minutes to get through it. But I built it, so probably longer for other people.
I hope soon means normal soon, not Valve soon.
