TNM 1.0.4 PLUS Patch
Jun 21, 2010 Patch 9 commentsThis patch requires TNM to already be updated to version 1.0.4, and is an extra, mostly fan-created patch for TNM that fixes all known remaining bugs.
Story:
In Forum City, the Internet is serious business. As its name implies, the city is the physical embodiment of Internet forums and bulletin boards. It's more like The Matrix or Tron than Second Life, however, as the troubles of the city are no laughing matter. Embracing the style of Deus Ex, Forum City has as much crime and conspiracy as the world of JC Denton — but most citizens would have it no other way.
The lust for power seems to come easily to those who call the city their home; everywhere there are factions scheming to increase their reach, or even wrest control of the city itself. Were it not for a peacekeeping triumvirate of invulnerable Moderators the city would quickly plunge into chaos.
This has been the way of things for as long as most care to remember.
But now, the balance of power has been upset. Unthinkably, a Moderator has disappeared, and panic is gripping the city. With the remaining Moderators spread far too thin, the lawless have found themselves with the freedom to prey upon others, and formerly suppressed rivalries threaten to explode into open conflict.
You are called upon to silence the discord.
Throughout the course of the game, you take on the avatar of Trestkon, a former intelligence agent whose reasons for leaving the city are mysterious, at best. Negotiating for his return was an act of desperation, but having known him personally, the remaining Moderators trust that he can find their missing colleague before it is too late.
Two years can change a man, however, and Trestkon's loyalty is not set in stone. Now imbued with legal authority, he could tip the balance of power in virtually anyone's favour, and the multitude of factions are well aware. Corrupt corporations, religious fanatics, cyber-terrorists, and even deadly computer programs will stop at nothing to gain Trestkon's allegiance.
Your task is simple: Save the world. The rest is up to you.

They're both quite small, and they were both made over a year ago, but apparently that's just the time scale I've settled into since working on TNM - everything is glacial for me now.
Hassat Hunter's "Expanded Phasmatis Apartment" mod simply overwrites the original version of that map to make the formerly fake doors in the apartment building accessible to inquisitive players. In other words, it's extra content to explore for a little bonus B&E action. Who knows what you'll find when you break out the lockpicks and start sticking your nose in other people's business?
Chris the Cynic's "Link Mod" addresses the common complaint that the three Forum City hub levels are too large compared to how much content they contain, requiring tedious treks across town to access common locations for quests or to restock your equipment. The solution is to add "links" (little blue orbs) from the subway station of each district to the various points of interest throughout that area. At each destination, you'll find a corresponding link that takes you back to the subway if you click it. Verily, Hypertext shall never cease to impress.
Each addon page contains instructions for installing or uninstalling the mods and further explanation of what has been changed and why. I hope these additions will let you squeeze a little extra enjoyment out of TNM before you gorge yourself completely on the fruits of this year's Steam sales.
Merry christmas.

Why is the sound quality ****? Everyone sounds like robots.
Does anyone know how to disable mouse acceleration but still be able to access menus? Whenever I alt-tab the game all the geometry goes hay-wire so I can't do it that way.

Hey again :D
I have a question about the puzzle game in TNM, you know, that is on some computers, the one in which you have to get one piece out.
I think its original name is called Rush Hour (the real game, not in TNM)
Can someone tell me where I could find a game very similar to this game somewhere free for Android? Because I'm planning to buy Samsung's Galaxy S. The game would be really nice on Android.
Or has the maker of the TNM Rush Hour version put the game somewhere able to play in Android OS? Probably not :D?
I wanna thank for the nice puzzle game.
So does someone know?
The version of Rush Hour you see within TNM was coded specifically into Deus Ex's GUI. So for the TNM version; No.
For an Android version, you'll have to check the Android version of an App Store or something. Seeing as I don't have said phone, I couldn't tell you if you can get this game specifically for it. Nothing a bit of Googling won't solve.
Haha okay thanks!
There is a game called 'unblock me', which is similar to rush hour, for the iphone and ipod touch which might be on android too.
Hello, I have a question.
After I downloaded ShadowCode to my brain, my vision started wobbling and all, just like it's supposed to. Then, when I uploaded it to the computer, the wobbling stopped, just like it should, but it seems that even after that, the FOV (field of vision) stayed a bit wider than normal, making things look more distant and stretched. Restarting or reinstalling TNM won't fix it, and the stretched FOV appears in all savegames now (or new game for that matter), even those before the ShadowCode mission.
Here's a screenshot: Fpaste.dy.fi
The stretchedness is probably best seen in the long arms holding the guns.
Any idea how I should fix this?
Thanks!
Hey, try out this possible solution and see if it works :-)

That's precisely what I needed! It works excellent!
Thanks so much, Wæver! You just made my day!
