TNM 1.0.4 PLUS Patch
Jun 21, 2010 Patch 9 commentsThis patch requires TNM to already be updated to version 1.0.4, and is an extra, mostly fan-created patch for TNM that fixes all known remaining bugs.
Story:
In Forum City, the Internet is serious business. As its name implies, the city is the physical embodiment of Internet forums and bulletin boards. It's more like The Matrix or Tron than Second Life, however, as the troubles of the city are no laughing matter. Embracing the style of Deus Ex, Forum City has as much crime and conspiracy as the world of JC Denton — but most citizens would have it no other way.
The lust for power seems to come easily to those who call the city their home; everywhere there are factions scheming to increase their reach, or even wrest control of the city itself. Were it not for a peacekeeping triumvirate of invulnerable Moderators the city would quickly plunge into chaos.
This has been the way of things for as long as most care to remember.
But now, the balance of power has been upset. Unthinkably, a Moderator has disappeared, and panic is gripping the city. With the remaining Moderators spread far too thin, the lawless have found themselves with the freedom to prey upon others, and formerly suppressed rivalries threaten to explode into open conflict.
You are called upon to silence the discord.
Throughout the course of the game, you take on the avatar of Trestkon, a former intelligence agent whose reasons for leaving the city are mysterious, at best. Negotiating for his return was an act of desperation, but having known him personally, the remaining Moderators trust that he can find their missing colleague before it is too late.
Two years can change a man, however, and Trestkon's loyalty is not set in stone. Now imbued with legal authority, he could tip the balance of power in virtually anyone's favour, and the multitude of factions are well aware. Corrupt corporations, religious fanatics, cyber-terrorists, and even deadly computer programs will stop at nothing to gain Trestkon's allegiance.
Your task is simple: Save the world. The rest is up to you.

If you're one of the people who've been casually following the gradual disassembly of Off Topic Productions after the release of The Nameless Mod, you might be interested to know that three of the TNM developers are behind a new tactical party-based roleplaying game recently launched on Kickstarter: Expeditions: Conquistador.
The lead designer, the composer, and the animator of the Conquistador team all held those same positions on the TNM team. The new game is a stand-alone commercial indie game built with the Unity engine and set in Central America at the beginning of the Spanish conquest in the 16th century. A tactical roleplaying game with a touch of strategic resource management and a pinch of choose-your-own-adventure. The setting of Conquistador is a rarely visited part of history which is rife with mystery, political intrigue, and good old-fashioned violence.
You will take on the role of a Spanish Conquistador in South America in 1518-1520. Select the members of your expedition and explore campaign maps based on the actual topological maps of Hispaniola and Mexico. Through intricately branching dialogue, you will engage with the characters and situations that you encounter across these uncharted areas, and when it’s time to spill blood, a tactical combat system of great depth and brutality will let you control your individual troops in battle.
Here's the game's feature list from the Kickstarter page:
If all this sounds like something you might be interested in playing, please consider backing the Kickstarter to ensure that the game is finished, and that it will be able to live up to the legacy of interactive narrative and uncompromising attention to detail that made The Nameless Mod so popular.

The Nameless Mod is a fantastic example of what a few guys (and a whole heap of voice artists) with 7 years and a love for a old PC game can do! 30 hours with multiple outcomes to just about every problem in true Deus Ex fashion!
A must play for anyone who owns Deus Ex!

OK, I got the mod installed. It doesn't seem to work with Kentie's launcher(the launcher will work, but the game won't accept any changes made through it)but that's not my question.
How do I get the GUI back to normal? I think it's way too small.
Bah, I should have noted that I have the OpenGL on 1600x900, the highest it will go. I can get the res at 1680x1050, which is my monitor's native res. But only with Ketie's DX10 render. The problem with that is, it seems to mess up the games lighting quite a bit.
I'm guessing because it's meant for Deus Ex, and not this mod.
Why hello there. :)
Finally got a moddb account.
Can't vote a 10? 0_o
Nvm; I r noob
Just the man I was looking for. I am having some trouble with TNM lately. I had it downloaded a long time ago, and due to a very troublesome glitch, I uninstalled it (insert tears and sad face here). I reinstalled it yesterday, and although it still recognizes my old game file, and *probably* would play through the rest of the game (not sure, haven't tried), I don't remember a whole lot about the story line and would kind of like to start over. Now, I'm not sure if you, specifically, will be able to answer this, but my best bet is to put it up anyway. (deep breath), But anyway, I'm going to fiddle around with it and see what I can figure out on my end, but if you have any advice, feel free to reply to this, PM me, or whatever
Is it just me, or did you not actually ask any question there?
So i bought Deus Ex on the steam summer sale, after seeing that it was number one on the PC Gamers list of the greatest games of all time...and I just saw this MOD on PC Gamers saturday crapshot...lets see how this turns out....
I started to play with TNM, and it looks good :-)
You are wrong my friend...
It's excellent! :P

Is this mod compatible with either of the following:
- Deus Ex: New Vision (which replaces 75% of the textures with DirectX 10 textures)
- the fixed "DeusEx.exe" and other files with the modified fixes of DirectX, resolution and GUI
- the fixed "DeusEx.u" with some of the bug fixes repaired.
Probably not the fixed DeusEx.u (TNM's code references a ton of classes in that package, and the fixed version would have to be very carefully made not to conflict with TNM's changes - even so TNM would probably still override a lot of the fixes). It's fully compatible with New Vision and Kentie's DeusEx.exe, however (you'll need to make a copy of Kentie's exe and rename it to TNM.exe, overwriting the original one).
