TNM 1.0.4 PLUS Patch
Jun 21, 2010 Patch 9 commentsThis patch requires TNM to already be updated to version 1.0.4, and is an extra, mostly fan-created patch for TNM that fixes all known remaining bugs.
Story:
In Forum City, the Internet is serious business. As its name implies, the city is the physical embodiment of Internet forums and bulletin boards. It's more like The Matrix or Tron than Second Life, however, as the troubles of the city are no laughing matter. Embracing the style of Deus Ex, Forum City has as much crime and conspiracy as the world of JC Denton — but most citizens would have it no other way.
The lust for power seems to come easily to those who call the city their home; everywhere there are factions scheming to increase their reach, or even wrest control of the city itself. Were it not for a peacekeeping triumvirate of invulnerable Moderators the city would quickly plunge into chaos.
This has been the way of things for as long as most care to remember.
But now, the balance of power has been upset. Unthinkably, a Moderator has disappeared, and panic is gripping the city. With the remaining Moderators spread far too thin, the lawless have found themselves with the freedom to prey upon others, and formerly suppressed rivalries threaten to explode into open conflict.
You are called upon to silence the discord.
Throughout the course of the game, you take on the avatar of Trestkon, a former intelligence agent whose reasons for leaving the city are mysterious, at best. Negotiating for his return was an act of desperation, but having known him personally, the remaining Moderators trust that he can find their missing colleague before it is too late.
Two years can change a man, however, and Trestkon's loyalty is not set in stone. Now imbued with legal authority, he could tip the balance of power in virtually anyone's favour, and the multitude of factions are well aware. Corrupt corporations, religious fanatics, cyber-terrorists, and even deadly computer programs will stop at nothing to gain Trestkon's allegiance.
Your task is simple: Save the world. The rest is up to you.

If you're one of the people who've been casually following the gradual disassembly of Off Topic Productions after the release of The Nameless Mod, you might be interested to know that three of the TNM developers are behind a new tactical party-based roleplaying game recently launched on Kickstarter: Expeditions: Conquistador.
The lead designer, the composer, and the animator of the Conquistador team all held those same positions on the TNM team. The new game is a stand-alone commercial indie game built with the Unity engine and set in Central America at the beginning of the Spanish conquest in the 16th century. A tactical roleplaying game with a touch of strategic resource management and a pinch of choose-your-own-adventure. The setting of Conquistador is a rarely visited part of history which is rife with mystery, political intrigue, and good old-fashioned violence.
You will take on the role of a Spanish Conquistador in South America in 1518-1520. Select the members of your expedition and explore campaign maps based on the actual topological maps of Hispaniola and Mexico. Through intricately branching dialogue, you will engage with the characters and situations that you encounter across these uncharted areas, and when it’s time to spill blood, a tactical combat system of great depth and brutality will let you control your individual troops in battle.
Here's the game's feature list from the Kickstarter page:
If all this sounds like something you might be interested in playing, please consider backing the Kickstarter to ensure that the game is finished, and that it will be able to live up to the legacy of interactive narrative and uncompromising attention to detail that made The Nameless Mod so popular.

The Nameless Mod is a fantastic example of what a few guys (and a whole heap of voice artists) with 7 years and a love for a old PC game can do! 30 hours with multiple outcomes to just about every problem in true Deus Ex fashion!
A must play for anyone who owns Deus Ex!

Second best thing ever made other than the vanilla DX. Great job peeps.
Does anyone know of a guide that explain how to install the nameless mod together with the other mods?
From what i grasped from the tutorials i should install things like this:
1- DeusExMPPatch1112fm
2- Kenties Deus Ex Launcher-v3
3- HDTP-Release1
4- NewVisionV1 and the renderers
5- Shifter_v1.8.4
6- deus ex enhanced
7- The Nameless Mod 1.0.4Patch
8- DSTNM_RLP_1.2
Is that right or am i missing something?
Do not install Deus Ex Enhanced, it's incompatible with TNM. Shifter is more or less compatible by now, but it's not how the mod is meant to be played. Same goes for DSTNM.
You can find a guide for how to make the new D3D renderers, ENB Series, New Vision, and HDTP work with TNM here: Moddb.com
Kentie's requires you to overwrite TNM.exe with Kentie's .exe, that's pretty much it. Be sure to still use the original shortcut though.
Every time I go from a location to another and get a loading screen, my game shrinks to a 800x600 area and does not respond. I have to wait a lot, then alt-tab, then alt-tab back to the game to play.
Makes me rage.
Amazing mod though.
I like NM so much so i want ask you a question about editing game and creating mod. I tried to use SDK on my DX 1.112fm but sdk even if there is typed SDK 1.112f...is still asking me for DX 1.109 and refuse to install. You guys using some different editor or you have just Desu ex v.1.109?
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but you should pop into the DX Editing forum on the OTP board and ask there, I'm sure somebody will be able to help :-)
Should work fine with Kentie's exe, you just have to rename it to TNM.exe (back up the original first). Otherwise you can change your resolution in TNM.ini, and set it to anything you want including 1680x1050, look at the Troubleshooting section in the manual for instructions. There are also instructions for what to do if your GUI is too small to read :-)
Yeah, I renamed it. it does launch Kentie's exe. But the game itself won't accept any changes.
I can tell it to set the res to something, then launch the game, and nothing will have changed.
Unfortunately, just like the manual said could happen, adding bNoUIFix=True did nothing to help.
If I could get Kentie's exe to work correctly, I think I could select the non scaling GUI option, and that would fix it.
Do you still launch the game using the proper shortcut with all the TNM parameters? And when you use bNoUIFix=True, is that while also trying to use Kentie's exe, or is it without that? Because Kentie's stuff I think changes the directory of the .ini files, so that could be messing things up for you. There's also the possibility that you just happen to have a really unfortunate resolution, so even without the fix it'll scale itself too low - it kinda scales up and down in intervals. Does DX's GUI look all right?
Deus Ex's GUI was fine, since I used Kentie's exe. I'm not using it with TNM, so I know it's the correct INI.
The thing is, I can read the text from the smaller GUI, so if I was forced, I think I could play the game that way. I'd just rather have the GUI the same size as when I played Deus Ex.
Thanks for your help btw.
